    College Registrar

    Description 

    • The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the day to day administration and control of the administrative affairs of the College as well as the Secretary to the Council and Academic Board.

    Duties

    • The candidate for the position is expected to keep the records and conduct the correspondences of the
    • Council, direct and co-ordinate the operations of the administrative system of the College. He/she would however, be responsible to the Provost.

    Qualifications
    Candidates for the post of the Registrar must possess the following requirements:

    • A good Honour Degree in Social Sciences / Arts Subjects from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least 21 years of cognate experience plus full registration with recognized Professional Management / Personnel Body.
    • Must possess relevant Masters Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.
    • Possession of a Doctorate Degree is an added advantage.
    • Evidence of attendance of a continuous mandatory professional development course is required.
    • Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
    • Must have been a Deputy Registrar in any tertiary institution for at least five (5) years.
    • Candidates must come from tertiary institutions (especially Colleges of Education/Polytechnic)

    Conditions of Service

    • The successful candidate will be entitled to the privileges and benefits specified in the terms and conditions of service for Staff of Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria and according to other conditions which may be approved from time to time by the Governing Council of the College in consultation with the National Commission for Colleges of Education.

    Tenure

    • Appointment of the candidate is for a single term of five (5) years only, beginning from the effective date of appointment.
