• The Chinese Translator will play a critical role in facilitating effective communication and translation of logistics-related documents, ensuring accuracy and clarity in language interpretation.

Job Description

• Translate logistics-related documents, including shipping manifests, customs documentation, contracts, and operational manuals, from Chinese to English and vice versa.
• Ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translations while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity to industry-specific terminology
• Provide real-time interpretation support during meetings, negotiations, and discussions between Chinese-speaking clients, staff, and stakeholders within the logistics domain.
• Convey messages accurately and effectively while maintaining the context and tone of communication.
• Review translated documents for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to company standards before finalizing and distributing to relevant departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Language Studies, Translation, or a related field.
• Proficiency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English languages, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience in translation, preferably within the logistics, shipping, or supply chain industry.
• Familiarity with logistics terminology and documentation (bills of lading, customs forms, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple translation tasks efficiently.
• Certification or accreditation in translation or interpretation is advantageous.
