Chief Legal Officer (CLO) at Periwinkle Residences

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice to the Board and Executive Management on corporate, regulatory, and contractual matters.
• Oversee compliance with real estate, construction, corporate, and investment regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Develop and implement robust governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitrations, and negotiations.
• Anticipate and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the in-house legal team.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), Barrister at Law (BL); Master’s degree (LL.M) is an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years’ post-call experience in corporate/commercial law, preferably with real estate exposure.
• Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA); additional certifications are an advantage.
• Proven track record in handling high-value transactions, negotiations, and compliance matters.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong business acumen and ability to align legal strategy with corporate objectives.
