Mission / Core Purpose of the Job 

The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will lead Afrilife’s investment strategy, portfolio management, and capital allocation across healthcare sectors. This executive will identify high-impact investment opportunities, manage risk, and ensure optimal returns aligned with the company’s mission to improve healthcare outcomes in Africa. With exceptional leadership, strategic vision and healthcare expertise, he is well-positioned to support the Managing Director in driving growth and impactful decisions.

Education / Business Degree     

• Master’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred).

Work Experience 

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in investment management, private equity, or venture capital, preferably in healthcare  

Knowledge 

• Proven track record of successful investments and portfolio growth.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
• Deep understanding of African healthcare markets and investment landscape
