    Chief Commercial Officer

    Role

    • This strategic leadership role will be fully accountable for driving commercial performance from sourcing and vendor negotiations to product assortment, pricing strategy, and merchandising execution across all stores.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Leading end-to-end buying and supplier negotiations
    • Managing margin performance and pricing strategy
    • Aligning commercial targets with store operations, supply chain, and finance
    • Building and coaching a high-performing buying team
    • Enhancing product sourcing, category performance, and data integrity
    • Ensuring seamless warehouse, logistics, and supply chain coordination
    • Be fully accountable for stores scan margin, meeting agreed Company targets.
    • To constantly strive to negotiate best commercial terms with vendors
    • To source the best quality products to deliver Company brand promise
    • To ensure that the buying team is trained following buying best practices through a rigorous training plan.
    • To conduct routine supervisory controls to ensure commercial, buying standards and objectives are in accordance with Company targets
    • To build strong cooperation and effective outcomes with stores operations, supply chain and finance departments to achieve company’s objectives
    • To ensure execution of all Company policies, procedures, marketing, and merchandising plans in each store.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Create and update a Group Merchandise structure by category, family and sub-family relevant to store format
    • Responsible for formalizing files and agreements/contracts with suppliers and keeping them up to date.
    • Ensure Consistency of the data in the system.
    • Follow up of supplier’s profitability
    • Placing of orders procedure (coherence of the ordered quantities, respect of minimum level of order) 
    • Ensure suitability of the price fixing organization with the competition and the market trend, through an efficient management of the commercial strategy and the pricing policy. 
    • Responsible for the product assortment relevance to the store fleet.
    • Responsible to set up and follow up “new item Introduction” policy
    • Responsible to develop a negotiation methodology: optimization of commercial terms, develop a correct mastery of negotiations skills (planning and method) and follow-up
    • Logistics follow up: Responsible for the warehouse management services, follow up of the supply chain services – transport and product returns – 
    • Responsible to follow up the terms of contract and invoicing
    • Logistics negotiations: responsible to optimize warehouse profitability and negotiated terms
    • We are seeking an experienced leader with strong negotiation skills, data-driven decision-making, and a deep understanding of the retail landscape.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 5–10 years in commercial leadership roles

     Sector Experience:

    • Food buying/retail / fast-moving consumer goods
