CHB Executive at Send Freight

The Role

• We are hiring a CHB Executive to manage post-shipping documentation and customs clearance activities, ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant release of shipments.
• This role will work closely with internal operations teams, shipping lines, terminals, and government agencies to coordinate customs processes and resolve clearance-related issues across air and ocean shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage post-shipping and customs clearance documentation for air and ocean shipments.
• Coordinate customs clearing processes to ensure timely cargo release.
• Liaise with the Nigeria Customs Service and other relevant government agencies.
• Work closely with shipping lines, terminal operators, port authorities, and external partners.
• Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, documentation standards, and internal procedures.
• Support license renewals and ensure all CHB documentation remains valid and up to date.
• Maintain accurate records of customs transactions and clearance activities in internal systems.
• Proactively identify and resolve clearance issues and exceptions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in customs brokerage, port operations, or clearance roles.
• Strong working knowledge of customs documentation and clearance processes.
• Familiarity with Nigeria Customs Service procedures and port operations.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
