Our client in the fashion industry is currently receiving applications for the role of Business Manager.
This role involves overseeing the operations of the business.
It requires providing business and administrative support in the day-to-day management of the business, in line with its strategy and long-term objectives.
The Business Manager is required to monitor the efficiency of business operations closely.
He/she will be responsible for effective and efficient day to day operations of the store and staff and will regularly report to the CEO.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of the business to ensure it runs smoothly, efficiently and profitably.
Decide on the proper course of action within the confines of established rules and standards.
Ensure all company activities adhere to legal guidelines and policies.
Develop and update policies when necessary for renewed processes and better efficiency.
Make strategic decisions that are essential to business profitability.
Manage the hiring, selection, orientation and development of staff to ensure they are equipped with the required knowledge needed to execute their role.
Ensure employees adhere to the core values and goals of the business.
Manage monthly and quarterly performance reviews for the team for growth, improved performances and increased profits.
Develop an action plan that is in line with the objectives of the business model to meet sales targets.
Develop a sales strategy aligned with the global fashion calendar and drive the team to perform effectively along these timelines.
Develop proposals and pricing strategy for designated programmes.
Oversee the creation of marketing materials (case studies, references, client quotes, etc).
Constantly improve the retail systems and suggest new ways to make the company’s analogue to tech upgrade seamless.
Lead the introduction of new brands to the company.
Maintain a good relationship with all the brands and stakeholders to maintain a steady flow of merchandise and great partnerships.
Constantly onboard new brands to the store to expand our portfolio and increase profits.
Proactively source new collaboration streams and avenues for increased revenue.
Ensure customer satisfaction by providing support to the team where necessary.
Assist in executing the annual budget for the company.
Manage project budgets, invoices, and the financial performance of projects.
Perform data mining in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports by collecting financial and operational data.
Report expenses, activities, results, market position and projections with accuracy and promptness.
Prepare and execute the payroll for all stakeholders.
Create, modify and maintain Oracle and SQL tables to aid in the generation of reports.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in any field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience, with 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role in a similar industry.
A good eye for fashion.
General management and administration skills.
Facility management and coordination skills.
Finance skills including budgeting and data analysis.
