Plan and carry out direct marketing and sales activities in conjunction with agreed budgets (Order intake, Sales, and Gross Margins).
Achieve sales related budgets and focus on growth opportunities in entire region.
To generate leads and convert them to project opportunities for business growth.
To meet customers and prepare sales oriented technical presentation in other to clarify their needs and convince them about GEA Solutions.
To conceive, and support customers to optimize GEA Technological Solutions related to Separation technology in the Energy, Renewable Resources and Oil & Gas industries.
Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual visits and liaise with internal order processing staff.
Increase market penetration and coverage – by regular face to face meetings and interaction with customers and potential customers (Maintain iBase customers and Business Development).
Ensure customer visit report are generated timely and shared with all stakeholders for decision making.
Carry out market research on competitors and market surveys.
Plan, organize, lead, control and own complete sales cycle – Initial customer contact to project delivery with Business Unit and Centre of Competence.
Maintain proper and accurate record of all sales activities on the Customer Relationship Management platform (CRM) to drive project visibility and order management.
Plan adequately all customers travel for efficient cost control and wider customer coverage domestically and regionally up to 60-80% of the time for customer visits, potential client meetings, tradeshows, and industry events.
Contributes to team effort by completing all tasks, as may be assigned by the line manager.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Degree in Engineering (Electrical, & Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent technical degree required.
3 – 5 years experience in Business Development, Marketing & Sales of Engineering Solutions.
Demonstrated success with sales quota achievement in B2B process/project business, understanding of commercial contracts and strong negotiations skills.
Strong customer orientation - ability to engage with customers at different levels.
Must be able to communicate effectively in both English & French, both written and verbal.
Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently.
Must be detail-oriented and have a demonstrated ability to provide timely feedback to both internal and external customers.
Must be willing to travel as business development and sale assignments and industry functions require.
Must have proficiency in MS Office products, with knowledge of CRM programs.
Must be self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude.
A major requirement for the role, the candidate must reside in any of the Francophone Countries.
