    Business Development Manager

    Job Summary:

    As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth for our tech company. Your primary focus will be to develop and execute effective strategies to expand our customer base and enhance our market presence. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, sales acumen, and strong interpersonal skills.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, target markets, and potential clients to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
    2. Develop and implement a comprehensive business development plan to drive growth and expansion in line with the company's strategic objectives.
    3. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and industry best practices to stay ahead of the curve.
    4. Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers, through regular communication, meetings, and networking events.
    5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment and maximize business opportunities.
    6. Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and contract closure, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
    7. Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and pitches to potential clients, effectively showcasing our company's unique value proposition.
    8. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, generate reports, and provide regular updates to the management team, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities.
    9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and market dynamics to proactively identify new business prospects and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
    10. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our brand, establish thought leadership, and expand our network.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
    2. Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development or sales roles, preferably within the tech industry.
    3. Demonstrated success in generating new business and achieving sales targets.
    4. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and value propositions effectively.
    5. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
    6. Strategic thinking and analytical abilities to identify market opportunities and develop effective business strategies.
    7. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    8. Proficiency in CRM software, sales forecasting tools, and other relevant business development technologies.
    9. Availability for occasional travel as required.
    10. Demonstrate leadership skills and lead the department to success. 
    11. Must be resident in Abuja. Relocation assistance not inclusive.
