The Senior Business Development & Sales Analyst is responsible for identifying and pursuing new revenue streams, forging strategic partnerships, leading client acquisition efforts, and crafting compelling business and funding proposals. The ideal candidate will be skilled in sales execution, ecosystem engagement, market research, and the ability to propose creative, data-backed ideas that drive impact and sustainability across our programs and services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and pursue new business and revenue opportunities across the entrepreneurial support and skills training space.
Generate and convert qualified leads into clients, sponsors, or program participants through proactive outreach and relationship management.
Research and write high-quality business proposals, grant applications, and partnership concepts aligned with the organization’s goals.
Develop new, innovative business ideas and models that expand our program offerings or enhance value to stakeholders.
Pitch and sell our on-demand training products and ESO services to organizations, government agencies, foundations, and SMEs.
Collaborate with internal teams to design and execute sales campaigns, product pilots, and go-to-market strategies.
Build and manage strong relationships with external partners, clients, donors, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
Conduct regular analysis of industry trends, client feedback, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and product innovation.
Use CRM tools to manage pipelines, track conversions, and generate performance reports.
Represent the organization at networking events, exhibitions, and forums to promote visibility and business development.
Requirements
2–3 years’ experience in business development, proposal writing, sales, or partnerships preferably in an ESO, nonprofit, startup, or training-focused organization.
Strong track record of writing successful proposals or business concept notes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Ability to conceptualize and develop innovative programs or revenue-generating ideas.
Proficient in the use of CRM software
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and industry trends.
Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.
Familiarity with the Nigerian startup ecosystem or workforce development space is an added advantage.
