Responsibilities

You will:

• generate and implement ideas and solutions to ensure safety, reliability, improve quality, reduce cost, and comply with company policies
• conduct daily physical inspection of each house to determine progress and to ensure staff and subcontractors comply with Company safety and quality control standards any agency standards
• quality assure your own and colleagues work
• ensure the safety of yourself, your team and all other site workers by following safe working practices at all times
• construct and demolish mock-up test chambers
• be responsible for reading, understanding, and interpreting standards and test methods for conducting industry test methods on building products and assemblies to evaluate the performance, safety characteristics, and compliance to applicable standards
• be interacting with the Program Manager, Project Manager, clients, and various internal departments and staff to determine a scope of work and develop projects to completion
• test and evaluate various building construction products in the laboratory

Requirements

• Degree qualified in a building course
• Minimum of 5 years’ construction experience
• Stick welding experience desired
• Knowledge of equipment and tools used in building mock-ups
• Must be able to read and understand drawings and build according
• Desire understanding of curtain wall systems
• Must be able to climb ladders, bend, crawl, push and pull as needed
• Physical strength and stamina, since the job involves strenuous activities such as significant lifting, bending, and stretching
• Good time management skills which enable you to frequently switch between tasks and responsibilities and complete them on time
• Strong communication skills, you are required to direct workers and report progress to the Construction Manager
