    Bar/Lounge Supervisor

    This position is accountable for customer service during shift. Bar/Lounge operational decisions consistent with business operations standards, policies, and procedures. 

    a)    Responsibilities 

    • Control the day-to-day operations of the Bar/Lounge
    • Accurate and effective completion of all necessary paper work, daily report, daily purchases. Mark-up/Mark-down inventory adjustments. 
    • Vendor controls and invoice handling, prepare and complete liquor orders, and check in deliveries, stock liquor store and maintain to company standards
    • Prioritizing and organizing follow up on tasks to be accomplished.
    • Effectively maintain accurate pricing on all liquor products for company promotions 
    • Prepare bank deposit subject to Managers inspection & approval.
    • Ensure the daily deposits have been deposited, safe counts conducted and venue's cash is secured at all times.
    • Set proper example for co-workers in terms of professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in the areas of customer service.
    • Maintain cost of goods sold, nightly comps, nightly recap reports and safe audits by overseeing inventory counts.
    • Respond to customer service needs to provide the highest standards of service.
    • Ensure Bar/Lounge staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions
    • Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
    • Representing the Bar/Lounge in a professional manner to the community-at-large, including local businessesand authorities.
    • Work with promoters to;
    • Get people to attend events & use bar/lounge services
    • Increase headcounts and to attract potential clients
    • Organizing and promoting regular entertainment events to attract a loyal customer base.
    • Booking performance artists, such as DJs and bands.
    • Liaising and negotiating with celebrity artists' agents and managers.
    • Ensuring events run smoothly on the night.
    • Organizing and providing VIP lists.
    • Organizing special promotions and maintaining a budget.
    • Experience handling difficult clients

    b)    Skills

    c)     Requirements 

    • Ability to effectively present information and communicate
    • Ability to prep liquor store for liquor audits and full knowledge of how to do a liquor audit.
    • Mathematical and reasoning skills 
    • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems 
    • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays.
    • Bachelor’s degree, HND or OND in a related discipline.
    • Must have 2-3 years’ experience in restaurant & Bar operations and or hospitality management
