Bank Cashier at Speedaf Nigeria Limited

Responsibilities

• Daily confirmation of Bank Transactions through transfers, POS and cash deposits
• Daily Bank reconciliation with freight and COD reports from site
• Calculation of monthly cash budget and daily posting of transactions into the ERP
• Monthly bank reconciliation of bank balances with the cash book balance.
• Follow up on all sites and franchisefor prompt remittance of COD and freights
• Analysis of cash and cash equivalent for management use
• Daily payment of expenses and COD by cash and other electronic means
• Coordination of cash flows to ensure liquidity at all times
• Cheque handling
• Foreign exchange advisory to aid management information
• Handling of foreign exchange transactions with the view of avoiding FX losses.
• Provision for payment receipts for the use of other departments.
• COD collation, reconciliation and payment.
• Be in custody of all company’s safe box and cheque books.
• Relating with banks account officers to ensure timely resolution of all banking issues.
• Monitoring of POS transactions to ensure all money due is credited to the company’s account
• Ensuring prompt report and fixing of all faulty POS terminals
• Reporting promptly of all critical issues regarding any irregular bank transactions including transaction failures and reversals to the Finance manager.
• Resolution of all charge backs
• Opening of new company’s bank accounts when needed.
• Printing and filling all expense payment
• Proper recording keeping and postings of all relevant transactions.
• Any other duties as assigned by the finance manager.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Must have at least 2years’ experience as a Cashier/ Account Payable Officer
• Must have basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Must give timely and accurate data.
• Must have integrity
• Must pay attention to details.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Must be proficient in excel.
• Good customer service skills.
• Having an accounting professional certification is an added advantage.
• Preferably a female for gender balance.
• Candidate must not be above 27 years.
