    Assistant Account Manager

    Location: Arepo, Ogun

    Position Overview

    • We are seeking a qualified Assistant Account Manager to join our team and support the accounting and financial operations of our organization.
    • The successful candidate will work closely with the Account Manager to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain client relationships, and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in managing client accounts and maintaining strong client relationships
    • Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
    • Handle accounts receivable and payable processes
    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
    • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
    • Support audit processes and coordinate with external auditors
    • Prepare invoices, statements, and other financial documents
    • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies
    • Assist in cash flow management and forecasting
    • Support compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
    • Provide administrative support to the Account Manager as needed.

    Required Qualifications

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
    • Age requirement: 30 years and above.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
    • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Team player with strong organizational skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Professional Certifications (Added Advantage)
    • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) certification
    • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification
    • Other relevant professional accounting certifications.

    Industry Experience (Added Advantage):

    • Experience in cable manufacturing industry
    • Experience in manufacturing or industrial sector
    • Knowledge of inventory management in manufacturing environment.

    Additional Preferences:

    • Gender Preference: Male
    • Experience with ERP systems
    • Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations
    • Previous experience in client relationship management.
