    Area Sales Manager

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Area Sales Manager with a strong background in the healthcare sector to lead and drive sales performance within the assigned territory.
    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and achieving revenue targets across healthcare channels.
    • Candidates must have proven sales experience within the healthcare industry, including exposure to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, diagnostic centres, medical distributors, or other healthcare institutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed territory sales targets.
    • Manage and grow relationships with key healthcare customers, including hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, diagnostic centres, and distributors.
    • Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence within the assigned territory.
    • Conduct regular market visits to monitor customer needs, competitor activities, and industry trends.
    • Lead negotiations, prepare quotations, and close sales agreements with customers.
    • Ensure effective product positioning and drive product adoption across healthcare channels.
    • Monitor sales performance and prepare periodic sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence updates.
    • Collaborate with marketing and other cross-functional teams to execute promotional and customer engagement initiatives.
    • Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and maintain healthy customer accounts.
    • Train, mentor, and support sales representatives within the assigned region where applicable.
    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline opportunities using approved reporting tools.
    • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and professional meetings to strengthen brand visibility and business relationships.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Pharmacy, Biological Sciences, or any related field.
    • 3–5 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years of experience within the healthcare sector.
    • Experience selling healthcare products or services to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, diagnostic centres, medical laboratories, or healthcare distributors is mandatory.
    • Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
    • Strong understanding of the healthcare market and customer landscape within Nigeria.
    • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
