Job Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for an architect who will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of buildings, coordinating with engineering and construction professionals, preparing and presenting design proposals and design decision.
• You will be responsible for communicating with clients and resolving any architectural issues. This role is located in Lekki.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Conceptualization and Planning: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project goals and develop a design concept that aligns with the client's vision and the project's purpose.
• Site Analysis and Selection: Assess potential sites for development, considering factors such as topography, climate, and zoning regulations and advise on the suitability of a site based on the project's requirements.
• Design Development: Create detailed architectural drawings and plans, including floor plans, elevations, and sections and Integrate sustainable and energy-efficient design principles into the project.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the design complies with local building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements and assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities.
• Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Collaborate with the project management team to develop cost estimates for the design and construction phases and provide input on material selection and construction methods to align with the budget.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with other professionals, such as engineers, contractors, and interior designers, to ensure a coordinated and integrated design and communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed about design progress and addressing their feedback.
• Construction Administration: Oversee the construction phase to ensure that the project is executed according to the approved design and respond to inquiries from contractors and resolve design-related issues during construction.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to monitor the construction process and ensure that the built structure adheres to the design intent and quality standards and address any deviations from the approved plans promptly.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years experience.
