Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly competent Accountant with strong expertise in Nigerian taxation and statutory compliance to join our team in the Ajah/Sangotedo axis of Lagos.
The ideal candidate must possess absolute working knowledge of tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and statutory remittance processes.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations
Manage tax computations, filings, and remittances (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT)
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory authorities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Handle tax audits, queries, and correspondence with regulatory bodies
Process payroll and statutory deductions accurately
Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting
Support internal and external audit processes
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2years proven accounting experience
Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and compliance procedures
Experience handling FIRS and LIRS processes independently
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
