Account Officer at Western Development Company Limited (WDCL)

Western Development Company Limited (WDCL), a leading service provider in the Oil and Gas sector, is seeking to hire a highly skilled Account Officer with proven experience in handling financial transactions within oil and gas operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, banking operations, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports specific to oil and gas project operations.
• Ensure timely preparation of financial statements and internal reports for management review.
• Track, monitor, and report on project expenditure, operational costs, and revenue streams.
• Assist with audits, tax preparations, and compliance with local and industry regulations.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, and partners to resolve any accounting-related issues.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting roles within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. ICAN/ACCA certification is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas financial transactions, contract accounting, and project finance.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
