We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and general ledger
Reconcile accounts, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and prepare reports on account status and transactions
Manage and monitor cash flow, including processing payments, issuing invoices, and maintaining accurate records of transactions
Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and analysis
Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations
Assist with financial audits and provide support to auditors as required
Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and other business partners
Perform other accounting duties as required by the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Up to 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large amounts of data and identify trends and patterns
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and the ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
Proficient in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and other financial tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
