Construction Site Engineer/Manager at Purple Real Estate Development Company

Purpose of the Position

• Manage and coordinate all construction site related activities.
• Play a supervisory role to the developing arm of the organization at the conceptual stage of projects.
• Ensure sub-contractors compliance to planned site activities.
• Managing the budget and contractual relationships of a building project.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform a technical, organizational and supervisory role on construction projects, setting out and determining the location for above and underground infrastructural installations involved in construction operations
• Lead the site management team, liaises with, and works alongside with architects, construction managers, engineers, planners, subcontractors; supervisors
• Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, artisans, technicians and site operatives
• Setting out, levelling and surveying the site
• Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
• To perform quality and quantity assurance on construction materials to meet specifications as detailed in the BOQ
• To adopt methods and use of equipment to ensure safety of man, materials and environment
• To agree a price for materials and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project
• To generate program of work and WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) to facilitate program execution.

Qualifications

• BA /HND in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 5 to 10 years of experience
