Job Description

• To trail blaze the delivery and commercialization of next generation technologies with a view to capture value strategic to MTN’s future Be the resident emerging technologies expert, collaborating externally on radical innovative initiatives with global R&D partners, Innovation hub and ecosystems stakeholders and providing feedback to the MTN Innovation leadership Architect and Build high scalability cloud-based services involving a combination of the below paradigms:
• Mobile apps (Android, Windows, iOS) to facilitate customer interactions across several new services aligned to MTNN’s endeavors across adjacent verticals
• Machine learning and related algorithms applied to various use-cases
• Data science based methods , predictive and prescriptive analytics, optimizations, classifications, clustering, and segmentation
• Natural language interactions and conversational AI that provide intelligent user assistance; Speech recognition
• Blockchains use-cases
• Biometric Identification/authentication
• Screenless display (Virtual retinal display, Bionic contact lens, EyeTap, Google Glass) etc. Conduct research and foresee the potential needs of the market at large and evaluate the feasibility of solutions. Lead the identification and development of applications for novel technology and business ideas.

Job Condition:

• Normal MTNN working conditions
• May be required to work extended hours

Experience & Training

• First degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Electrical/Electronics
• 6 – 13 years of experience which comprises Experience as a software developer.
• Experience taking ideas/concepts to market-ready mobile applications, micro-services or cloud enabled architectures is a plus
• Strategic outlook and attention to details
• Imperative skillsets o Frameworks : Qt, GTK++, JBoss (Seam, Hibernate, Spring, Struts, Cache), .NET, ReactJS, Restify, Angular o Services: AWS, Azure, MongoDB, Apache, Firebase, Hadoop, Redis, SQL, Algolia, Git, NoSQL o Dev Tools: C++, Java or Kotlin, Python, Obj-C, Swift, C#, Android Studio, JS, o Operating Sys: Linux, Android, Apple, Windows

Minimum Qualification

• B.Ed, B.Eng, B.Sc, B.Tech or HND
