Job Description

• Perform work, generally within Control System Engineering, which involves the preparation, interpretation or review of calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, surveys, structures systems or equipment with complex features.

Participate in one or more of the following:

• Development of system requirements. Automated Control System design, development, and/or maintenance. System design, including concept sketches and layouts. Automated Control and Human Machine Interface (HMI) Software Development. Preparation of specifications and design calculations.
• Preparation of Signal lists, review lists from all OEM and EPC contractor imputes.
• Visit OEM and suppliers to ensure equipment being supplied or produced, are to the specified standards and are compliant with the required production schedules.
• Review and implementation of system logic.
• Ensure that all Security, Health & Safety and Environmental standards are maintained. And to promote these standards to others.
• QA/QC supplied service or equipment.
• Produce handover packs for end users and Maintenance departments

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree in the related field or equivalent years of experience will be considered
• 10 Years of Power Plant Controls experience is  desirable, however other industrial plant controls experience will be considered (for example oil & gas/petrochemical)
• The resilience to deal with periods of work pressure and diplomacy to deal with difficult employees, customers, contactors and others in the course of their duties;
