Job Summary:

The Architect will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of residential and commercial real estate projects at Mshel Homes Limited. The role requires a highly skilled professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design, project planning, and construction supervision. The successful candidate will translate client briefs and company vision into innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling designs while ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full architectural design process from concept development through to construction documentation and project handover.
• Prepare and present detailed architectural drawings, 3D visualisations, models, and specifications using industry-standard software.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other technical consultants to ensure design integrity and buildability.
• Review and approve contractor shop drawings, material samples, and technical submittals.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, environmental requirements, and health & safety standards.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget parameters.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including design records, approvals, correspondence, and as-built drawings.
• Mentor and supervise junior architects and draughtsmen within the team.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, standards, and templates.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Full registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in architectural design and project delivery, preferably in real estate development.
• Proven track record of delivering residential, mixed-use, or commercial projects from inception to completion.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian building codes, planning regulations, and construction methods.
• Excellent design sense with strong conceptual and technical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• High level of attention to detail and quality.
