The  Copywriter is responsible for writing copy for advertisement materials like print advertisement, brochures, Web sites, commercials and other advertising mediums.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take client's advertising brief and produces original copy ideas with the objective of capturing the target audience's attention.
• Brainstorm copy ideas and possible angles for a client's  advertisement  materials
• Help prepare pitch concepts for clients
• Write catchy, persuasive copy that sells every client's products or services
• Contribute original ideas for advertisement campaigns
• Contribute ideas for new business and current clients'  advertisement strategies
• Work with the creative team to cast for projects ready for production
• Come up with words and verbal content that are used alongside the visual elements
• Assist in developing concepts and writes copy across a broad range of projects, from advertising campaigns through to advertising and marketing collateral.
• Gain a deep understanding of the product, target audience and competitor activities in the market.
• Explore different ideas and concepts for both the visual and verbal elements in union with the creative team.
• Assist in writing various copy options, which may be presented to the client as a story board (a consecutive series of frames depicting the script and drawings that may be used)
• Cast actors and models to appear in adverts

Skills and Specifications

• Talent, judgment and imagination to create ideas and words for the creation of an advertisement
• Knowledge of the mechanics of writing: punctuation, spelling, structure and organization of writing
• Strong command of the English language with an eye to catch spelling and grammar errors
• Creative, curious nature is key, as well as the ability to think in visual terms
• Able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Team player
• Must have at least 3 years experience
• Must be well-organized
• Strong problem solving skills and detail oriented
• Excellent people skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
