    Senior Associate, Real Estate Asset Development

    Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

    Job Description

    • This is a great career opportunity. In this position, you will be part of a team of very experienced specialists delivering top quality project management and consulting services in various fields including; Business Development and Planning, Project Management, Financial Services, Power, Oil & Gas and Real Estate.
    • The company's service offering includes; engineering designs & construction, health & safety management and environmental impact assessment services through established working relationships with various specialist companies across the globe.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Attract co-investors to develop and manage a portfolio of real estate assets.
    • Manage development projects from inception to completion, including project budgets and pro formas, design, zoning, marketing and leasing efforts.
    • Identify potential real estate investment opportunities, negotiate deal structure with potential JV partners including land owners.
    • Develop relationships with owners of real estate assets including land and other third party channels who can provide access to JV and investment opportunities.
    • Develop relationships with providers of capital including both equity and debt to provide financing for transactions.
    • Create project schedules and manage all aspects of projects to achieve deadlines.
    • Review design concepts and drawings for Real Estate Projects and provide feedback.
    • Make necessary site visits to review progress of construction and mock-ups and work to resolve challenges.
    • Provide insights into real estate research, trends and analysis - across all segments of the Real Estate.
    • Represent company at Real Estate conferences and other events as necessary for generating visibility of company/partnerships/interest from real estate asset owners.
    • Assist in the engagement of key players in the sector including regulatory authorities, banks, insurance companies, professional firms, AMCON, etc.
    • Develop plan to acquire suitable assets from AMCON in partnership with asset owners or as sponsor.
    • Work with head of principal investments to manage and oversee the capital deployment into transactions to ensure funds are deployed as per execution plan.
    • Execute  assigned tasks and responsibilities as directed the VP, Real Estate Asset Development

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Built Environment or Engineering from a reputable University.
    • MBA from a reputable University strongly preferred.
    • Certification in Project Management preferred.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including MS Project, MS Excel.
    • Minimum of 7 years related experience with 5 in Project/Development Management.
    • Intermediate knowledge of construction and consultancy contracts.
    • Intermediate understanding of Real Estate Economics and Market.
    • Strong project management and execution skills.
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills and superb presentation skills to a wide and savvy audience.
    • Effective interpersonal skills and client relationship management skills.
    • Strong business and commercial acumen.
    • Intermediate research and organizational skills.
    • Strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Strong people management skills.
    • Strong selling and marketing skills.
    • Intermediate Financial modelling skills.
    • Ability to understand and interpret designs.
    • Superior numeracy and advanced calculations skills.
    • Strong knowledge of fixed assets accounting, banking operations and GAAP.
    • Superb attention to detail and consistently produce timely and error-free work at all times.
    • Positive, quick thinking, and resourceful demonstrating a positive can-do attitude.
