SCOPE OF WORK:
Agronomist and marketers will be responsible for assisting and coordinating the activities of DRS in agriculture such as the farmer field school, demonstration farms, research, marketing of the soil water trap, implementation of work plans and activities of product distribution in Nigeria and beyond.

Implementation   

• Work under the directions of the General Manager to implement the DRS Agricultural and marketing activities.
• Assist staff to develop work and marketing plan for the Soil water Trap (SWT) and Soil conditioner (SC).
• Work closely with government, multilateral organizations and local partners staff at the field level to identify buyers and product users.
•  conduct field visits to verify activities done in the field.
• Support carrying out vendor assessments and agressive marketing of the Agricultural products.

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Assist field staff and assistants to monitor the quality of the services and marketing mix used, identify and inform remedial action with those not abiding by the conditions of sales/contract.
• Report back as often as needed to the supervisor on the progress of the work and any abuses of the system noted by field teams.
• Provide relevant input for the monthly reports.

Other:
Fulfill any other duties requested and/or needed by the DRS or senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• University degree/HND in Agriculture, marketing and any of the social sciences.
• Minimum 3 years of experience especially in Marketing and or agriculture.
• Experience in marketing from similar organization is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Local language – mandatory, English – working knowledge.
• Self-motivation and strong team spirit
• Commitment to the ideals of DRS.
