    Director (Tax Operation)

    Job Description

    • Co-ordination of Tax Station for Effective and Efficient Functioning, Monitors tax station performance for audit and compliance work, Undertakes inspection programme and tax administration, Informal Sector operations, Other Taxes; Stamp Duties, Withholding Taxes, Oversees Taxpayers Appeals, Confirmation of tax status of individuals, Relationship Management Unit and High Net worth Unit

    Key Responsibilities

    • Directors are responsible for development of current and long tern goals as well as policies and procedures of their Directorate.
    • Successful candidate for the post of Director, shall be responsible for putting in place in his/her directorate sound organizational, administrative, financial and managerial structure.
    • Be very conversant with extant revenue laws (Oyo State and Federal) and other relevant laws.

    • Must demonstrate high ethical standards and fiduciary duty.
    • The incumbents will view and possess significant confidential information relating to Oyo State Government, tax payers, staff and other stakeholders.
    • High levels of discretion, integrity and judgment are required.
    • This cadre of staff are expected to exhibit Keen analytic, sound Knowledge of the economic, social- political environment of Nigeria in general and Oyo State in particular and decision making factors, Personal credibility and integrity, Self-confidence and respect for others, regardless of position, and willingness to work as a team member/leader.
    • Demonstrates ability to be an effective leader in a multi-disciplinary environment.

    Basic Requirements

    • A Bachelor or Master's Degree in Accounting, Law, Economics, Banking & Finance, Statistics, or other relevant discipline in the quantitative field Or
    • A Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance, Statistics , or other relevant discipline in the quantitative field.

    Professional Qualification
    Membership in any of the following Accountancy bodies or their recognized equivalents:

    • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
    • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
    • Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (ICMA) U.K and
    • Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN)

    Professional Experience

    • 15 years, and 10 years of this experience must have been in an executive managerial, administrative or supervisory capacity.
    • Supervision must have included, supervising staff performing professional work in the areas described above.
    • Age: Not Above 45 years
