    Learning and Development Programme Lead

    Job Description

    • The L & D Programme Lead will be responsible for shaping and executing our Learning and Development strategy across the organization

    Responsibilities

    • Refine our training strategy across very different stakeholder groups – Full-time employees, contract staff and farmer members.
    • Develop needs assessment framework, customized to each individual’s needs – both functional and soft skills gaps.
    • Create new, relevant content to address the specific competencies.
    • Source relevant content and course material from external providers.
    • Prepare a targeted course curriculum designed to address individual needs.
    • Evaluate, select and manage an appropriate Learning Management Platform (LMS).
    • Track and report training impact on work performance.
    • Drive constant improvement across modules.

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Own, plan and execute critical L&D projects within the organization
    • Manage training development and delivery across the organization
    • Develop training schedule and ensure execution stays within schedule, budget and other constraints.
    • Closely monitor key metrics with effective tracking and preparation of relevant reports.
    • Lead and manage team of direct and non-direct reports.
    • Prepare reports and supporting documents and provide regular updates to management team.
    • Consult with the leadership team to guide and influence long term strategic thinking

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, Education, Development or a related discipline (Master’s degree and /or Project Management Certification is preferred)
    • Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word & Excel)
    • Strong project coordination skills coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Obsessive attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills: Fluent oral and written English.
    • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work through others
    • Positive attitude towards work
    • Ability to take ownership, work in a fast-paced environment and relate with people from different backgrounds.

    Salary and benefits are competitive, commensurate with experience.
