    Engineering Services Executive (Electrical & Mechanical)

    Report To: Technical Manager
    Contract Type: Job Specific Contract Employment/Independent Contractor

    Job Description

    • Troubleshoot, order parts and repair mechanical problems on all HANL products. (Tower crane, cleaning cradle, formwork, scaffolding and Human/Material work platform.
    • Perform assigned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs.
    • Conduct load certification tests and inspection of overhead cranes and hoists.
    • Prepare repair reports and time sheets.
    • Accompany management personnel for occasional field walk-through, customer calls and follow-ups.
    • Make recommendations on maintenance required and changes needed.
    • Analyze the safety of equipment and recommend design modifications.
    • Perform quality checks on work in progress and upon completions.

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Demonstrate ability to direct the activities of others.
    • Able to communicate effectively via phone and email.
    • Basic computer skills are required.
    • Skilled in the use of hand tools such as: grinders, drills etc.
    • Skilled in the use of a variety of test equipment.
    • Ability to measure and setting out of steel components to buildings
    • A strong background on electrical testing and commissioning of electro-mechanical equipment’s
    • Ability to interpret and apply manufacturers repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics and engineering drawings and diagnostic codes.
    • A strong background in AC and DC electromechanical and solid state motor control systems.
    • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams (able to troubleshoot without prints on occasion).
    • Familiarity with VFC and DOL
    • Mechanical experience with gear reducers and drive systems a plus.
    • Applicant must have minimum of 5 years’ experience in any of our products (Tower crane, cleaning cradle, formwork, scaffolding and Human/Material work platform)

    Experience & Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in mechanical and electrical role
    • Typically four (4) plus years’ experience in a progressively responsible mechanics role repairing and load testing overhead cranes.
    • School Trained and possess certified certification.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
    • Physical Requirements/Working Environment
    • Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote
    • Long hours of work might be required
    • Must be able to work at heights with safety annexes.
    • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
