Factory Manager at Dipson Plastics and Recycling Plant

Location: Osogbo, Osun State

POSITION SUMMARY

The Factory Manager is a key leadership role which manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for safety, production, warehouse, maintenance, quality, customer relations, human resources and finance. This position serves as the senior company representative locally and is responsible for compliance with the company’s code of conduct and for ensuring factory compliance with all regulations (Federal and State) as well as other client-Company policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The primary function of  the Factory Manager is to manage all aspects of the extrusion plant
• Manage Factory Employees including Operators,  Administrators, Quality Control, Maintenance, Fabrication, Assembly, Shipping/Receiving and Logistics
• The Factory Manager is responsible for the efficient scheduling of all production for the entire plant to meet delivery schedule
• The Factory Manager is responsible for staffing and material replenishment
• The Factory Manager ensures that all supervisors are appropriately trained and that the supervisors train line workers
• Manage the housekeeping such that the plant is clean, safe and well maintained
• Manage and participates in continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure that the Factory machinery are in excellent condition and periodically serviced
• Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual report to the MD/CEO on Key Performance Indicators set
• Willing to travel to support business requirements (training, audits, customer visits, marketing)
• Prepare, plan, implement and achieve annual operating and capital budgets.
• Works with technical group to efficiently start-up production of samples and new products.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BSC or BA in Engineering, Management or other related area
• 5+ years’ experience in production management
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Computer literate and experience using basic manufacturing Software
• Must come from a Manufacturing background
• Product knowledge is desirable but not essential
