    Senior Performance Management Specialist

    Description:

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    The Senior Performance Management Specialist performs senior-level human resources management work.  Work involves providing guidance and counselling on performance management initiatives; and developing, coordinating, and implementing workforce development and succession planning programs. This position reports to the Group HR Business Partner.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Performance Management

    • Oversee the development and implementation of company-wide performance appraisal program and provide advice and recommendations to management and staff.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of the company’s core competencies, core values, and key performance measures into performance appraisal system.
    • Analyse and report on measurement results.
    • Provides ongoing oversight and support to ensure that performance measures are being used to effectively manage operations, identify and manage risks, and effect organizational change.
    • Develop and conduct presentations and training to management and staff on the performance appraisal system.
    • Assist with developing and implementing company’s performance improvement plans.
    • Talent Development and Succession Planning
    • Conduct assessments and gap analysis on employee skills and training.
    • Assess various staffing needs to determine methods to address current and future conditions, including retention management, realignment, recruitment planning, and career development.
    • Assist with developing training plans, identifying educational opportunities for employee development.
    • Assist with change management initiatives by conducting readiness assessments, job-impact analysis, and skill and capability assessments.

    Learning and Development

    • Facilitate group discussions to perform gap analysis and needs assessment(s).
    • Develop a strategy for knowledge transfer activities, to include planning, implementation, and training.
    • Develop knowledge sharing processes and programs that encourage learning and collaboration.
    • Prepare communications to share tools and information with various stakeholders.
    • Provide back-up support to department staff and quality service to department customers.
    • Perform related work as assigned by the Group HR Business Partner

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

    Experience

    • Five (5) years of professional human resources generalist experience.
    • Three (3) years of direct experience developing, implementing or evaluating performance appraisal systems.
    • Experience developing employee performance measures.
    • Experience providing training to managers and/or employees on performance management systems.
