    Planning Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Understanding the scope of the project
    • Prepare Project baseline schedule
    • Prepare Schedule for Commercial and Proposal department during Bidding
    • Monitoring and updating accurate schedule progress toward achieving the desired project completion date and informing the project management team of changes to schedule outcome.
    • Monitor and measure Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation & Construction, and Pre-commissioning and Commissioning progress on weekly basis.
    • Prepare Progress reports and S-curves (trend analysis) of the project.
    • Prepare and render daily and weekly progress reports for the project to enable management have a glimpse of the actual achievement for the period.
    • Identify critical path of a project and pay attention to the activities in the critical path, to ensure that the project does not over run (time and cost overrun)
    • Prepare and maintain Progress measurement sheet
    • Prepare and Present the schedule of work to management and client organization involved with the project for review and approval
    • Prepare schedule look-ahead
    • Attend meetings with management and/or client.
    • Directly responsible for raising and giving notification to management in advance when from the trend analysis conducted and from observation it shows that the schedule delivery time will not be met as envisaged.
    • Coordinate activities in a structured manner in order to achieve a successful planning outcome.
    • Coordinate and liaise with the Cost Control Engineer for preparation of the project status report
    • Coordinate and liaise with the Cost Control Engineer in preparing the Value of Work Done (VOWD) on monthly basis
    • Responsible for ensuring that projects are completed within set deadlines, on budget, and in line with all the relevant safety standards and regulations
    • Monitor and report Schedule implication of changes/variations and delays in relation to overall project and project critical path.
    • Prepare and compiles weekly and monthly reports as required
    • Participate in Subcontract bid and review Subcontractor bid schedule to ensure it meets subcontract requirements.
    • Responds to ad hoc request from project management team related to project controls/reporting

    Educational Qualification required for the Position

    • B.Eng in Electrical Engineering
    • Professional Qualification required for the Position:
    • Primavera 6 (knowledge a must)
    • Microsoft Project (added advantage)
    • Experience required for the Position:
    • 12 years minimum; EPC Oil and Gas

    Warehouse Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and set up stores in Warri & PH Operational base, and complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures are in place.
    • Responsible to take care of the day to day operations of the store and ensures maximum profitability for the store, often interacting with other disciplines.
    • Responsible for the smooth and effective functioning of the store
    • Store Manager must ensure that sufficient inventory is available at the store to avoid being “out of stock”
    • He along with his subordinates are responsible for planning, managing profit and loss, handling cash at the store as well as collating daily purchase as well as other necessary reports.
    • Discussing and solving complex problems with suppliers and customers.
    • Responsible for product management, including ordering locally, receiving, price changes, handling damaged products and returns.
    • Coordination with procurement department for handling of local purchase if necessary.

    Lifting and Hoisting Person In-charge

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop lifting and hoisting plans in line with lifting standards and project procedure.
    • Supervise all lifting and hoisting operations on site by ensuring that company handling procedures are followed explicitly.
    • Oversees lifting and hoisting operations to identify and solve problems, ensure safety and company regulations are being followed.
    • Coordinates selection and movement of loads from yards and storages, according to transportation schedules or requirements.
    • Ensures that operatives use proper PPE and follow HSE regulations.
    • Observes equipment gauges and indicators and hand signals to verify weight of materials, instruments, or position of load.
    • Select loads or materials according to weight and size specifications.
    • Ensures all equipment, accessories, shackles and machinery used for lifting has valid certification.
    • Ensures all loose tackles are correctly colour coded and free from damage.
    • Provides reports to Construction Manager at site.

    Educational Qualification required for the Position

    • Engineering/Science Degree
    • Professional Qualification required for the Position:
    • IADC/LEEA.

    Experience required for the Position:

    • 10-year experience in offshore/onshore pipeline operations
    • 5-year experience in PTW coordination.

    Project Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • To manage all the Company's Construction Personnel across the Projects providing adequate staffing to Projects during each phase of them, starting from their planning during the Bids Phase up to the completion of the Construction activities, covering the entire life of the Projects.
    • The role functionally reports to the Operations Manager. The role is a member of the corporate management team providing strategic insight, technical leadership and subject matter expertise while working in partnership with the DESICON Group project and operational teams to positively shape the business achieving excellent financial results and competitiveness.
    • Responsible for managing construction activities across the group including but not limited to providing an oversight on project managers, engineers and vendors/contractors performance.
    • Provides an Operational oversight/leadership for the project preparations, planning, execution and close out of complex planned/emergent construction projects for the Group while generally developing strategies for flawless project fulfilment excellence.
    • Drives Operational efficiency and effectiveness across all construction projects of the Group by providing leadership interface between Operations and Projects.
    • Provides the organization with expertise in continuous process improvement, change management with primary focus on Safety, Quality, Cost, Timely Delivery of Project/Processes in line with “Lean” Methodologies.
    • Supporting Business Planning (manpower, material and equipment) both for existing projects and start-up of new projects (Brown or Greenfields)
    • Provides an oversight to project construction leadership, ensuring operational excellence goals and requirements are met at all times through real time tracking of cost, productivity and execution risk of projects.
    • Drives improvement of on-time delivery of project, project cost & productivity, vendor/sourcing cost, control resource (Personnel & Equipment) hour cost, through continuous tracking.
    • Provides Operational Leadership for projects Bid/Quote development including work scope, site condition check, preliminary safety and risk analysis to identify potential issues or obstacles and to minimize cost impact for site execution.
    • Ensures proper execution documentation is prepared, used, reviewed, stored and delivered timely including HSE, Quality, Construction.

    Educational Qualification required for the Position

    • Engineering Degree.

    Professional Qualification required for the Position:

    • COREN
    • PMP.

    Offshore Project Security Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Security focal point for Project
    • Advise PD/PM on security requirements for the project
    • Supervise Project Security Coordinators
    • Liaise with JTF and Security providers to ensure correct manning levels for the project locations
    • Coordinate offshore Security moves.
    • Ensure correct levels of security are allocated to project on a daily basis.
    • Provide timely notification of security events and incidents to Security manager and project management team
    • Report security deficiencies and mitigating measures to Security Manger project management team.
    • Act as security contact point for Crisis Management team
    • Produce project security documentation as required.
    • Seek advice from Security Manger as appropriate
    • Manage indigenous and government security forces, conduct training and deploy them as part of the overall security plan consistent with requirements.
    • Regularly conduct VPSHR briefing to government security forces deployed to site.
    • Regularly conduct security drills and procedures.
    • Interface with client security management team.
    • Perform Corporate Security function as may be required.
    • Carryout other duties as may be required
