    Store Keeper

    About the Role

    • We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Store Keeper to manage and oversee inventory, materials, tools, and equipment at our construction project site. The ideal candidate should possess strong inventory management, record-keeping, and reporting skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, equipment, and supplies against purchase orders and delivery notes.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all stock movements are properly documented.
    • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests to prevent shortages and project delays.
    • Organize and maintain the store to ensure materials and equipment are stored safely and efficiently.
    • Issue materials and tools to authorized personnel and maintain proper issuance records.
    • Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with store records.
    • Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of construction materials and equipment.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and stock status reports.
    • Coordinate with procurement, project teams, and suppliers regarding inventory requirements.
    • Monitor and report damaged, obsolete, or slow-moving stock items.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and store management procedures.
    • Support project operations by ensuring timely availability of materials and equipment.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Store Keeper, Inventory Officer, or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
    • Strong knowledge of inventory management and storekeeping practices.
    • Excellent record-keeping, organizational, and reporting skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems.
    • Ability to maintain accurate stock records and perform inventory reconciliations.
    • Strong attention to detail and high level of accountability.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a project-site environment.
    • HND/Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
