    Asset Manager

    They are currently looking to engage an Asset Manager who would be responsible for the management of the commercial and operational assets regarding issues of the Business Generation Centre (BGC). This includes the financial and operational management of the designated units within the BGC and continuous evaluation of improved economics. This position will also be responsible for supervising and coordinating all operating activities and generation output relating to the designated unit asset.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure that all regulatory requirements are adhered to and that the assigned unit assets are operated in a safe, reliable, and economically optimal manner
    • Coordinate internal and external communications with all entities associated with the BGC
    • Oversee the preparation and presentation of asset budgets, proformas, and assists with longterm maintenance schedules for all assigned unit assets
    • Work with the shift-in-charge to ensure the assigned unit assets are operating safely, in regulatory compliance, reliably, and efficiently
    • Manage the development of short, mid and long term comprehensive Business Plans for each assigned unit asset
    • Develop strategies to ensure operations in accordance with business plans. Required to make assessments, determine-develop strategies and implement within the assigned unit assets. The decisions include instructing the shift-in-charge to shut down, operate unit assets, and vary the generation output to achieve desired energy optimum schedules for best overall financial management
    • Develop or oversee the development of financial models of the assigned BGC and keep models current as each project situation changes
    • Provide input in the management, negotiation and administration of unit asset agreements-i.e. gas supply, gas transportation, PPAs, Bilateral sales
    • Prepare monthly and annual reports describing financial and operational status for assigned BGC
    • Administer the Operations and Maintenance needs to best optimize the asset and coordinate with plant engineering to run the designated units efficiently
    • Supervise the utilization of plant resources to minimize unit operations and employee/ plant safety
    • Ensure compliance with the MIS reporting requirements of the units
    • Resource planning for manpower, materials and annual contracts

    Role Profile

    • Ensure adherence to all regulatory compliance safety, environment and health mandates
    • Oversee the evaluation, collating and reporting efficiency, fuel consumption, etc. of the designated units
    • Conduct performance review of subordinates
    • Prepare a periodic report for the attention of the Chief Operating Officer
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer

    Key Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline; postgraduate/relevant professional qualification in Management is an added advantage
    • Minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in a work-related industry with strong demonstrated technical organizational and managerial capability
    • Should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical or engineering field 
    • Experience in operations and maintenance of power plants is an added advantage

    Skills and Competencies

    • Ability to work effectively with peers and senior level management
    • Solid and proven business skills managing power plant assets
    • Ability to understand, interpret and articulate power plant contracts and agreements
    • Executive presence with the ability to articulate and make presentations at the Board level
    • Ability to understand, interpret and articulate profit and loss projections and targets
    • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
    • Knowledge of operations of steam turbine power plant and its components – generation turbine, boiler, BOP, etc.
    • Knowledge of Maintenance systems, contract system and procedures, material issue and return procedure
    • Knowledge of safety, environment, OHSAS and other statutory norms

    Completions Supervisor

    They are currently looking to engage a suitable qualified professional who would oversees the Company’s completion plan, handling various aspects of workover/completions engineering assignments and assisting in preparing completion, testing and workover procedures.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in the engineering design of all completion programs as well as the fracture treatment of all new drilling wells; prepare completion, testing and workover procedures.
    • Ensure that workover and completion operations are carried out with best oilfield practices and in accordance with program and all relevant Company standards.
    • Provide detailed timely reports to engineers via various software programs.
    • Prepare written engineering well workover briefs for wellsite supervisors.
    • Monitor all AFE’s for well work, run economic backup and justification calculations for AFE submittals, and monitor expenditures against AFE amounts.
    • Review well production on a daily basis to ensure that wells are optimized as to productivity.
    • Provide support to engineering team on a variety of subjects, including completion designs, workover and fishing jobs, and production facility modifications.

    The Successful Applicant

    For the successful Completions Supervisor, you will have;

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline
    • Minimum of 18 years’ relevant experience
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Completions Supervisor

    Professional certification in Well Engineering (i.e. IWCF)

    Senior Drilling Engineer

    They are currently looking to engage a Senior Drilling Engineer who would be responsible for providing the drilling engineering input including but not limited to optimized well trajectory, cost estimate for AFE preparation, casing design recommendations for new wells, P&A, infill or re-drills, tubing and zonal completions.

    Participate in preparing Work Programs and Budgets for Drilling Section.

    • Maintains tender files and arranges their archiving upon Tender completion
    • Prepares Tenders status reports and expected timelines on a regular basis and when requested.
    • Prepares correspondences to internal departments, bidders and contractors
    • Follow through successful acquisitions to completion

    For the successful Tender/Bidding Specialist, you will have;

    • Good first degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) or any relevant discipline.
    • Minimum Experience of 8 years cognate experience 3 of which must have been in management in similar capacity.
    • In-depth knowledge of EPC tender operations to Oil & gas companies is key (RFI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s).
    • Understanding first principle of commercial and proposal packaging is key
    • Construction experience is key with demonstrable knowledge of planning and execution
