    Help Desk Officer

    1 - 2 years experience

    130,000 - 164,000 Monthly Salary

    Minimum Qualification: HND - Degree & Above

    Must be analytical, able to troubleshoot and solve issues, must be conversant with Windows OS, Hardware and software installation experience (including printers, scanners and other peripherals), Networks, assist branch staff solve system issues, a bit of programming knowledge.

    FUNCTIONS:

    This role will provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk.  You will be responsible for administration and internal support of the Company’s PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment. Tasks include end user support, license tracking, and performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction.
    • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.
    • Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority.
    • Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation
    • Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software.
    • Document internal procedures.
    • Ensure each workstation has a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, and any additional specialized equipment.
    • Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software.
    • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses at the branch.
    • Report issues to the Service Desk for escalation.
    • Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required.
    • Manage email, spam, and virus protection.
    • Installation, troubleshooting, updating and restore system.
    • Keep internal/branch networks running smoothly.
    • Perform and monitor Backup and Restore of critical branch data/information.
    • Monitor Local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) Installations, the Internet, intranets, and other data communications systems.
    • Administer and manage BYOD in compliance with company BYOD policies at branch level.
    • Maintain and manage IT knowledge base by ensuring all issues and solutions are captured or recorded for future references.
    • Deliver end-to-end user support company wide.
