    Operations and Logistics Manager

     Job Description
    Coffey, in partnership with McKinsey is looking for an Operations and Logistics Manager for the Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (NIAF III)
    4 years
    Abuja, Nigeria

    The Programme
    NIAF III is a four year DFID-funded programme starting in 2018. Building on the success of the two earlier phases of the Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (2007-2016), NIAF III will provide high quality embedded and short-term expertise to Nigerian government and regulatory counterparts to support improved delivery of infrastructure services. The core team will be based in Abuja, with travel to other Nigerian states as necessary.

    The Position

    • The Operations Lead will manage day-to-day operations for mid-sized operational services. S/he will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of property, office and fleet assets. The Operations Manager will ensure that:
    • Opportunities for improved services are identified;
    • HR, IT, vehicle and property assets are documented, reviewed and reported; and
    • Operational activities are aligned

    Responsibilities:

    • Organising and providing a well-managed and efficient work place for employees and consultants
    • Maintaining oversight of procurement activities as needed
    • Carrying out routine and complex activities with accuracy
    • Ensuring that all services provided are aligned with NIAF/McKinsey plans and priorities
    • Occasional travel to outlying states for the purpose of meeting with clients and suppliers
    • Overseeing a broad range of operational activities including those relating to Protocol, Property Management, Fleet Management and IT and Communications
    • Initiating all appropriate risk management protocols/guidance/tools/support services, related to the safety and security, and the protection of assets

    The Person

    • First Degree with a focus on Finance, Management or any Degree relevant to the position
    • At least five years of documented project management experience
    • Excellent MS Office skills including: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and problem solving skills
    • At least 2 years' experience with logistics coordination
    • At least 2 years' experience with asset management
    • Ability to organise clerical work, administration, and control systems
    • Ability to perform a variety of detailed functions and meet established deadlines
    • Ability to work with minimum supervision
    • Ability to build and lead an effective team
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively and solve problems independently
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
    • Fluency in English required

    Gender and Social Inclusion Lead

     Job Description
    Coffey, in partnership with McKinsey, is looking for a Finance and Administration Manager for the Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (NIAF III)

    The Position

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure pro-poor and gender issues are considered early on in prioritising activities, and develop rigorous approach to monitoring how NIAF impacts on women and poor people
    • Ensure and strengthen the use of evidence in selection of NIAF activities and presentation of NIAF results
    • Establish a monitoring framework for the poverty impacts
    • Establish a process for screening interventions for opportunities to include pro-poor, gender and social inclusion work
    • Coordinate with and support the Monitoring, Reporting and Learning (MRL) Lead in establishing and implementing gender-sensitive monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting systems
    • Develop the data collection and analysis tools for the baseline assessment to guarantee gender and social inclusion considerations

    The Person

    • University degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, International Development or related field required.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience working on gender and social inclusion issues within development programs, preferably with DFID or other donors
    • Knowledge and experience working with DFID
    • Excellent knowledge of gender and social inclusion issues in Nigeria including social, political, and cultural gender norms and challenges.
    • Experience designing, leading and conducting gender and social inclusion analyses, as well as integrating and implementing findings into programme design
    • Experience building capacity of local stakeholders on gender and social inclusion issues
    • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory and organisational skills
    • Experience engaging local stakeholders, including national government leaders in gender and social inclusion initiatives
    • High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment
    • Prior experience in Nigeria

    Finance and Administration Manager

     Job Description

    The Position
    The Finance and Administration Manager will be responsible for setting financial and administrative operations for the programme.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure contracts, payments and deliverables are met on time
    • Manage office and programme financial resources while exercising proper financial controls and adhering to both DFID and McKinsey policies and procedures
    • Maintain oversight of procurement activities as needed
    • Provide guidance and support to the core business areas in relation to financial operations management, banking operations and monthly financial analysis
    • Ensure financial compliance and accuracy of financial reporting
    • Ensure efficient management of financial operations and month/year end activities
    • Profile income and expenditure and analyse monthly/quarterly reports
    • Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts
    • Monitor income reconciliations for core business areas and ensure these are done in a timely and accurate manner
    • Partner with project teams to provide guidance and support on budget management and other analysis
    • Preparing financial reports and presentations at regular intervals as per requirements of senior management

    The Person

    • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Bachelor’s degree with more than 10 years of experience in finance, accounting or a related field can be substituted for a Master’s
    • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in administrative and financial management of large-scale, complex, international and donor-funded programmes
    • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, excellence in accounting, financial management, human resources, procurement, and other management support functions as needed
    • Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to manage large budgets and client expectations
    • Strong interpersonal skills required for working with project staff, donors and beneficiaries
    • Knowledge of DFID and other donors’ financial reporting requirements
    • Fluency in English required
