    Basic Function

    • The Midwife/Skilled Birth Attendant will assist female patients in all stages of pregnancy, childbirth and post-delivery.
    • He/she will also provide antenatal and postnatal advice and support to women and their families.

    Responsibilities

    • Works as part of a multidisciplinary team of international and national staff to provide high quality patient care to an extremely vulnerable population.
    • Provides direct patient care and accompany in the management of pre-natal, antenatal, inpatient and follow-up care for women (including deliveries).
    • Provides comprehensive sexual and reproductive health information and services including family planning counselling and services to prevent and treat malaria, tetanus, STI, HIV.
    • Provides training and management in the prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV

    Job Summary / Responsibilities
    Basic Function:

    Effective implementation of program activities:

    • Analysing nutrition situation and prevailing trends

    Team Management:

    • Oversee all staff for the nutrition project including regular performance evaluations, management, general well-being, job descriptions, work schedules, discipline, etc. in co-ordination with the nutrition and primary health care coordinators
    • Provide technical support to staff and promote learning based on project objectives and activities and ensure documentation and sharing of learning with other sectors and programs
    • Ensure that staff responsibilities are clearly defined and understood, with performance objectives set against work plans and regularly monitored
    • Organize regular evaluation meetings of team members
    • Identify training needs, and supervise the technical training of national nutrition staff members

    Representation and Coordination:

    • Coordination and participation in Nutrition Cluster, and nutrition assessment/ survey groups and filing of meeting minutes
    • Support, and actively participate the sub-Nutrition Cluster group meetings at district level constructively
    • Development of network with other actors in the area as well as community leaders/representatives
    • Represent FHI 360 nutrition programs when and if necessary vis-a-vis donors during their field visits
    • Identify structures where stakeholders are willing and motivated to integrate CMAM into the health system
    • Ensure communication and coordination between the SC, OTP, and IYCF team in the frame of a CMAM approach
    • Sensitize main stakeholders on CMAM and need for support and commitment for long term access to life saving activities for children; at this stage the overall entry/exit strategy can be shared emphasizing the vital role of the stakeholders to make this happen

    Nutrition Supplies, Equipment and Stock Management:

    • Monitor stocks physically at LGAs level, check for expiry date, quality and quantity
    • Checking that all the supplies are listed in the stock register, bin cards are visible.
    • Participate in the follow-up of supplies consumption and orders
    • Ensuring that stock levels are sufficient for the functioning of SC and OTP (weekly, monthly or quarterly)
    • Make monthly physical inventory of all nutrition supplies
    • Raising relevant requests for supplies and stock well prior in time to prevent exhaustion of stocks and supplies for interventions.

    Qualifications

    • B.Nurse, Nutritionist or MBBS/MD/PHD.
    • Masters in public health or nutrition or related subject is desirable.
    • Second language skills are desirable.
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years field experience in nutrition program in a relief NGO,  ideally in a similar role.
    • Minimum 1 year in a position of requiring managing a team of expatriates is desirable.

    • The post –holder will develop strategic and professional relations with the Nigerian broadcast and print media, professional bodies and technical service providers in communications to commission products as necessary and ensure appropriate coverage of FHI 360 activities in the Nigerian media.
    • The post is responsible for coordination with FHI 360 HQ on developing and keeping current the content of the Nigerian pages of the corporate website and oversee that of FHI/Nigeria.
    • The post will work in coordination with the Senior Communications officer and staff members of FHI 360 Nigeria communications unit to ensure the regular and high quality flow of information on FHI 360 programs to the CO from the various projects, state offices and corporate stakeholders.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Will develop a comprehensive FHI360 Nigeria and project’s strategic external engagement plan and oversee its implementation in coordination with the corporate office

    • Support development and implementation of FHI360 BRD Strategy for Nigeria; identify strategic target audiences for communications and development

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in the Liberal Arts, Social or other Sciences. 10 years post-qualification experience or eight years post-qualification communications-relevant experience may be seen as substitute for Masters in exceptional cases of demonstrated aptitude for stated duties.
    • Track record in communication/creative writing with capacity for strategic-thinking, and at least five years supervisory-level work in development programming or communication.
    • Assesses priorities and multi-tasks in a high-intensity situation. Good organizational and time-management skills, especially in meeting deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
    • Good interpersonal skills and effective team member in a complex and fast-paced environment;

    Job Summary / Responsibilities

    • The Doctor will triage, examine, diagnose and treat patients in need of primary health care at the FHI 360-funded medical clinic.
    • Based on the diagnosis, the doctor will prescribe appropriate treatment to patients and suggest follow up as required.

    Responsibilities

    • Works as part of a multidisciplinary team of international and national staff to provide high quality patient care to an extremely vulnerable population.
    • Provides accurate diagnosis, treatment and management of patients in a primary health care setting
    • Assesses patients and refers them for specialized health care (as required)
    • Participates in the delivery of quality health care to patients in a primary health care setting
    • Adheres to the relevant Code of conduct and ethics
    • Participates in outreach and community health programs (as required)
    • Provides health education to patients

    • The ATO-Primary Health Care will provide programmatic and operational support in one of the three field sites’s health clinics. Under the supervision of the Primary Health Care Coordinator, the s/he will manage all activities related to the health clinic while ensuring the quality of services are delivered.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide day to day operational and programmatic support to health clinic.
    • Works closely with assigned team to ensure activities are implemented according to standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
    • Build capacity of Community Health Workers (CHWs) through organized trainings.
    • Serves as company liaison to external organizations at coordination meetings and conference as assigned.
    • Oversees all aspects of assigned field site’s PHC activities.

    Qualifications

    • MB.BS/MD/PHD or similar degree with 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience in clinical care with a sound understanding of RH in humanitarian relief settings.
    • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is required.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

    Assistant Technical Officer-Monitoring & Evaluation

    • Primary responsibilities include collecting information on project activities in each sector for proper documentation and reporting of activities.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Work with Field Coordinator to support the correct implementation and use of monitoring and evaluation tools, and adherence to complete, correct and timely reporting.
    • Conduct routine monitoring visits to field site, including collecting data on program activities and assist in the preparation of weekly/monthly and quarterly reports.
    • Provide direct technical assistance and capacity building in the design and implementation of the program/project Monitoring and Evaluation components of the activities in the field site served.
    • Support all media and communication related activities including documentation and preparation of success stores and articles for publication
    • Responsible for data entry of program inputs.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS or similar Degree with 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a sound understanding of humanitarian assistance programming.
