    Human Resource Manager

    The role will be responsible for facilitating the design and implementation of strategic plans that will help identify, attract, select, hire, and retain the best-fit talent to meet the manpower needs of Saroafrica International Limited:

    • Ensure the development and implementation of relevant human resources strategies and structures (process, people, and systems) to support the achievement of the Company’s vision, goals and objectives.
    • Continually review and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the company’s human resources policies, procedures and processes, and identify improvement opportunities.
    • Prepare and present the human resources annual business plan and operating expense budget to executive management.
    • Provide a framework and technical support for all recruitment needs of the organization.

    Job Description
    :

    • The role will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient management of the Group’s financial resources and overall responsibility for the provision of corporate services to subsidiaries.

    Strategic, Budgeting and Planning:

    • Oversee and drive the development of the Group’s financial strategy, work plans and programs, to ensure alignment with the Group’s strategy, goals and objectives.
    • Provide overall guidance, leadership support and strategic direction in the execution of the Group’s finance function and activities.
    • Oversee the development of the Group’s corporate budget and the allocation of financial resources.
    • Coordinate the proactive monitoring and reporting of budget positions of all the business departments and units.
    • Oversee tax planning to optimize the Group’s tax position and ensure tax compliance accordingly.

    Financial Control:

    • Coordinate the development and implementation of finance and accounting policies, processes and procedures in line with leading practices.
    • Ensure the establishment and implementation of best practice financial activities supported by sound financial discipline in line with the Group’s finance policies.
    • Oversee the establishment of efficient controls to mitigate identified financial risks.
    • Coordinate the identification of risks and medium to long term financial implications of intended corporate projects/ initiatives, and provide relevant advice to the Group’s executive management.
    • Ensure the development, implementation and compliance to delegation of authority framework.
    • Authorize expenditure/ transactions in line with the Group’s approved financial authority limits.

    Treasury Management:

    • Proactively manage and monitor the Group’s cash-flows, ensure optimal cash management and implement best practice treasury management practices.
    • Ensure optimal capital expenditure and working capital management for the Group and ensure it has sufficient liquidity to meet its medium-term requirements and banking obligations.
    • Articulate, develop and implement procedures and controls to ensure that the Group’s funding requirements are proactively anticipated and met at a reasonable cost.
    • Ensure effective utilization of the financial resources of the Group including achieving cost efficiency in line with its business objectives.
    • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key banks and other financial institutions.

    Financial Analysis and Reporting:

    • Be responsible for the development and implementation of management information report framework and templates, including defining the model for data and information gathering across the Group’s subsidiaries.
    • Coordinate and oversee the timely preparation of the Group’s financial statement ensuring that the statement reflects Group’s financial position, complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and aid’s executive management decision making.
    • Ensure all recommendations from the External Auditors’ Management Letters are adequately addressed.

    Corporate Services:

    • Initiate and execute Service Level Agreements with the subsidiaries for the provision of IT, HR and finance and accounting services.
    • Organize and co-ordinate the deployment of relevant structures (process, people, and systems) towards the provision of corporate services, in line with the SLAs.

    HR and Admin:

    • Monitor the planning and forecasting of the Group’s workforce requirements, organization structure and manning levels, in line with overall corporate goals and objectives.
    • Oversee the articulation and execution of the Group’s HR strategy, and ensure alignment with the Group’s corporate strategy, business goals and objectives.
    • Review periodic reports of the HR function and ensure implementation of improvement recommendations.

    IT:

    • Ensure the execution of the Group’s overall IT strategies and oversee the activities of the IT function.
    • Review periodic reports of the IT function and ensure implementation of improvement recommendations.

    Others:

    • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Group Managing Director.

    Competency and Skills:
