    Offshore E&I Installation Manager

    Description:
    The Offshore E&I Installation Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the project and acts as the principal point of contact for all construction aspects on the site. They will manage, plan, control cost and deliver program through sound safety and quality practices in line with agreed business objectives.
    The Installation Manager interfaces with Managers and other staff responsible for HSE, Quality, Project Controls and Procurement and ensure that the various contracts are completed safely, within schedule and budget.
    The candidate will be involved in project management responsibilities.
    Leadership and responsibility for health, safety and environmental performance is an important feature of the role.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage, direct and coordinate field installation activities in accordance with the requirements of the Project Schedule and associated Construction Work Packages;
    • Ensure full compliance with the project’s health, safety and environmental management plans, procedures and processes;
    • Manage stakeholder expectations;
    • Perform Quality Assurance, ensuring that the project team and any subcontractors are fully compliant with requirements of the Project Quality Plan and Company IMS Procedures;
    • Generate project data, such as cost, schedule, technical and quality progress to facilitate forecasting;
    • Generate and submit valuations and sales invoices in a timely manner;
    • Manage risks and implement mitigating risk Reponses;
    • Coordinate and direct commercial matters in order to maximize profit on the project.
    • Monitoring & Control: Ensure that tracking, review, regulation and reporting of progress takes place to meet the performance objectives defined in the Project Execution Plan, this shall include the following:
    • Comparison of actual progress and performance against the various project baseline schedules, plans and budge
    • Forecasting of costs at completion and schedule activities;
    • Identification, analysis, tracking and reporting of risks and the associated response plans;
    • Timely and accurate reporting.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Relevant Electrical/ Instrumentation degree
    • Minimum of 15 years Installation Management Experience – Essential Electrical and Instrumentation

    Offshore E&I Inspector

    The Roles:
    The Offshore Electrical & instrument (E&I) Inspector, reports to the Construction Superintendent.  The position plays an important role in electrical equipment and instrument installation, hook-up, testing, mechanical completion and pre-commissioning of the E&I systems on Topside facility of the platform.  The person must be knowledgeable in E&I design for the offshore oil/gas processing facility and extensive experience in field installation, hook-up, FAT/SAT of E&I, control systems and preparing the systems through mechanical completion and pre-commissioning. Knowledge of oil/gas production, processing and produced water treatment is required and experience with NORSOK offshore engineering & construction codes and standards will be an advantage.  The position is responsible for monitoring/supervising EPC Contractor work is executed in compliance with the applicable codes and standards, technical requirements of the project.
     
    Job description

    • Review project specifications and work procedures to ensure EPC contractor’s inspection, testing and procedural are in compliance and aligned with Client’s requirements.
    • Perform quality audit and to verify work activities are in accordance with the approved Project Quality Plan.
    • Regular review and update on status of quality issues.
    • Attend to Witness and Hold point inspections of approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
    • Attend to witness system FAT in supplier shop and SAT during pre-commissioning
    • Report non-conformities and disposition follow-up on corrective actions
    • Monitor and surveillance of cables and cable tray routing, installation and terminations to junction boxes and panels are in compliance with the applicable codes and standards.
    • Monitor and verify through surveillance of EPC contractor work in electrical and instrument equipment installation, hook-up, loop checking and functional testing are in compliance with the technical requirements for the project.
    • Monitor to ensure Contractor’s documentation is compiled progressively as required and of acceptable quality
    • Daily surveillance reporting and submission of weekly report of Contractor’s work.
    • Provide technical advice in project technical meetings on resolution of quality/construction related issues.
    • Assist in administrating Quality Control Program.
    • Issue Non-conformance Reports when there is a deficiency and ensure their timely close out.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 10 year experience in E&I system installation, hook-up, functional testing, mechanical completion and pre-commissioning of the systems for oil/gas processing facility
    • Good understanding in design of safety instrumented system and control system for offshore oil/gas processing facility
    • Minimum 10 year experience of construction / completion of offshore oil & gas projects and relevant QC experience
    • Conversant in International Codes and Standards (API, ASME, ASTM, IEC, NFPA, etc.), NORSOK requirements in the oil/gas industry
    • Experience working with EPC type contracts.
    • Fluent in English, verbal and written

    Offshore E&I Commissioning Engineer

    Job Description:

    • The position will be based on providing Instrument Commissioning Engineering input to all aspects of Commissioning;
    • Participate in Asset HSE Programmes (STOP/Audit/Incident Review);
    • Review Instrument Commissioning design packages / job packs to ensure that they are optimized and take due account of commissioning issues;
    • Liaise with Instrument Commissioning Contractors, clarifying all design aspects to ensure that they are safely and efficiently constructed / tested / commissioned;
    • Cross-discipline liaison to ensure that due account is taken of other discipline requirements
    • Liaise Provide required input to Company planning / scheduling / progress-monitoring / costing activities;
    • Provide technical input to ensure technical completeness and integrity of constructed facilities. Maintain accurate records (as-built mark-ups, punch lists, etc.);

    Skills / Qualifications:

    • Active job technology and business-systems;
    • Guidelines on development and execution of technical documentation;
    • Detailed technical knowledge of offshore engineering.
    • Fundamentals of job engineering and management;
    • Fundamentals of labour health and fire safety;
    • HSE competencies (regulations and norms of labour protection) as per the Standard Job Competence Profile;
    • Higher professional education in Engineering;
    • Minimum of 6 years working experience in the same/similar capacity.

    The Role:
    To act as Project Engineer for the Hook up and Commissioning activities and to provide support for the Marine Installation activities.

    Offshore E&I Installation Engineer

    The Role:
    To act as Offshore E&I Installation Lead for the Hook up and Commissioning activities and to provide support for the installation activities.

    Main Accountabilities:

    • Participation in HSE Reviews associated with the scope of the work.
    • Participate in the management of the interfaces (both internal and external).
    • Act as a key member of the Offshore Hook-Up and Commissioning Team ensuring that all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner and that all work meets with the required Quality Standards
    • Participate in the preparation of the required completion system documentation for the handover of systems to Operations.
    • Provide and demonstrate HSEQ Leadership.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Background Electrical & Instrumentation Construction and Completion
    • Relevant experience within the Oil and Gas industry

    • FPSO operations experience.
    • Experience of Yard Management / Supervision

    Required Competencies:

    Offshore E&I Technician

    Detailed Description

    • Troubleshoots breakdowns, diagnoses faults and executes repairs; Refers problems to the supervisor; Maintains  good housekeeping at work site and ensure tools and equipment are kept in good working order.
    • Must be able to troubleshoot problems with Omni/PLC system and HMI software.
    • Receives daily instructions and obtains required materials and equipment from the supervisor.
    • Must be able to build panels from drawings and troubleshoot Omni.
    • Adheres to all safety rules and regulations in carrying out work including following detailed procedures indicated in work permits.
    • Additional duties as instructed by supervisor.

    Job/Academic Requirements

    • OND/HND or Technical School Graduate.
    • Experience required offshore on a deepwater production platform in an instrumentation and electrical role.
