To effectively implement our new strategy, Take Action: End Poverty (2014– 2018), ActionAid Nigeria is seeking a committed and inspiring Country Director to drive the implementation of the new Country Strategy and lead on providing quality programme management and accountability systems.
Qualification & Experience
The candidate must hold a post graduate degree in social sciences, development studies or a development related field and at least 10 years proven track record in leading and managing institutions and development programmes as well as having a strong presence in civil society and social movement in Africa, Nigeria in particular. S/He should have a strong analytical skills and understanding of the international political economy, particularly the Nigerian socio economic and political context.
S/He should be committed to gender equity, empowering management practices, be value driven and possess strong networking, human resources and financial management skills. S/He will have the perspectives and competencies for fundraising and donor relations; regional and international linkages and a sound basis of organisational development. The candidate must have excellent communication skills.
Three years fixed term contract (Renewable once).
