    Technical Sales Associate

    Role Summary

    • Husk is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Associate to join the growing team in Nigeria.
    • The individual will be responsible for promoting and selling our range of big Load appliances (i.e. grinding & welding machines, Freezers etc.) to potential clients.
    • This role requires a combination of technical expertise, sales acumen, and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions. You need to be a team player and have a problem-solving attitude.
    • The individual should also be passionate about contributing to solving one of Nigeria’s most critical challenges – the energy access deficit. 

    Key Responsibilities

    General

    • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for Appliances.
    • Identify and prospect potential customers within the designated territory or market segment.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients through regular communication and visits.
    • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features, benefits, and capabilities of our machines.
    • Collaborate with the technical support team to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide technical assistance as needed.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth.
    • Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, reports, and other documentation as required by management.
    • Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote our products and expand the company's presence in the market.
    • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and initiatives to support sales efforts.
    • Continuously strive to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and professional skills through training and self-development activities.Qualifications

    Required Skills & Attributes

    • Minimum of a Diploma in Engineering, business administration, or related field preferred.
    • 3-5 years experience in technical sales, preferably within the industrial machinery or manufacturing industry.
    • Strong understanding of grinding and welding processes, equipment, and applications.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
      Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
    • Experience in a similar role is an advantage.
    • Business-level fluency in major Nigerian languages, a plus.

    Location and Travel

    • This role is based in Lafia, Nasarawa, Nigeria
    • Will be required to work from rural areas and plant sites.

    Procurement Officer

    Role Summary

    • The Procurement officer will be directly responsible for managing procurement of local materials and equipment, and electronic appliances.
    • The job duties will include monitoring current inventory, work with existing and new vendors to procure materials/equipment for operational use, and appliances business, schedule and expedite deliveries, maintain complete and accurate record of all purchases.

    Key Responsibilities

    • The primary aim of the role is to assist stakeholders in planning, developing, sourcing, and managing procurement activities to effectively meet the organization and business objectives.

    General

    • Conduct sourcing activities, analyze quotations, and negotiate with the suppliers to obtain the best value and encourage long-term relationships.
    • Evaluate requests from different business units and plan for the procurement and enforcing the company’s procurement policies.
    • Pre-qualify new vendors and carry out due diligence according to the standard operating procedures. Onboard new and the most efficient local logistics partners for remarkable delivery improvement.
    • Coordinate the delivery of items ordered, working closely with the supplier and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery within stipulated timelines.
    • Maintain and update procurement records and generate reports on procurement activities and provide access to procurement information.
    • Identify, mitigate, and escalate procurement risks to enable the organization to meet its obligations and maximize business opportunities.
    • Maintain good and robust supplier relationships and escalate any challenges encountered.

    Qualifications
    Required Skills & Attributes

    • Minimum of an HND or bachelor’s in supply chain management, Engineering, or a relevant field of study.
    • Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience as a procurement officer or specialist.
    • Membership of CIPS is an added advantage.
    • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a solar energy company or FMCG is a key requirement.
    • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence decisions.
    • Ability to think and solve problems and work collaboratively.
    • Impeccable time management & ability to plan and prioritize tasks and manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.

    Inventory & Warehouse Assistant

    Role Summary

    • The inventory and Warehouse assistant will be responsible for receiving materials incoming from suppliers and preparing goods, receiving notes, arranging, and preparing goods for delivery, and optimizing the warehouse facility.

    Key Responsibilities

    The primary aim of the role is to ensure goods are received and issued in an organized manner and speed, plan deliveries and optimize the existing warehouses and others in the future.

    General

    • Receives materials incoming from outside and prepares goods receiving notes, and records, and keeps them in the appropriate file.
    • Issues materials against authorized materials collection requests at speed.
    • Distribute copies of store documents to appropriate departments.
    • Make sure all materials are stored in appropriate places in the warehouse to ensure smooth and easy handling and movements and optimized use of space.
    • Prepares monthly reports on goods received and issued and delivery records against delivery set targets.
    • Organize and engage with local transporters for goods delivery and maintain good relationships for optimal support.
    • Make sure stock is arranged for easy physical count and stock taking.
    • Proposes disposal of damaged, obsolete, expired materials.
    • Participates and facilitates annual physical inventory and regular stock takes.
    • Implements a cost-effective material handling system.
    • Ensures that warehouses are cleaned, and stocks are secured.
    • Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.

    • At least two years experience in the same position.
