    Inventory & Warehouse Assistant

    Role Summary

    • The inventory and Warehouse assistant will be responsible for receiving materials incoming from suppliers and preparing goods, receiving notes, arranging, and preparing goods for delivery, and optimizing the warehouse facility.

    Key Responsibilities

    The primary aim of the role is to ensure goods are received and issued in an organized manner and speed, plan deliveries and optimize the existing warehouses and others in the future.

    General

    • Receives materials incoming from outside and prepares goods receiving notes, and records, and keeps them in the appropriate file.
    • Issues materials against authorized materials collection requests at speed.
    • Distribute copies of store documents to appropriate departments.
    • Make sure all materials are stored in appropriate places in the warehouse to ensure smooth and easy handling and movements and optimized use of space.
    • Prepares monthly reports on goods received and issued and delivery records against delivery set targets.
    • Organize and engage with local transporters for goods delivery and maintain good relationships for optimal support.
    • Make sure stock is arranged for easy physical count and stock taking.
    • Proposes disposal of damaged, obsolete, expired materials.
    • Participates and facilitates annual physical inventory and regular stock takes.
    • Implements a cost-effective material handling system.
    • Ensures that warehouses are cleaned, and stocks are secured.
    • Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications
    Required Skills & Attributes

    • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain or logistics.
    • At least two years experience in the same position.
    • Punctuality
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Highly approachable, trustworthy, and confidential.
    • Ability to respond to timeframes and deadlines with pace and motivation.
