    Technical & Innovation Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and oversee the quality control and assurance & new product development functions with objectives of the overall accountabilities.
    • Create strategies and the long term plans aligned with the long term objectives and plans of the company.  The incumbent ensures the strategies are implemented in both QC/QA and NPD.
    • Be accountable for QA/QC & NPD team performance, KPI management and people development.
    • Lead in the creation of a best-in-class African Supply Centre including: setting quality culture, standards & all SOPs, define team training & KPI tracking, lead the site in the NAFDAC Certification process.
    • Define & initiate the development of new products that have substantial benefits to the current and future company business.
    • Manage the company products manufacturing quality control & NPD management by working closely with PSM, key management members and Consumer Marketing function.
    • Assess the market and consumer needs/ insight so as to provide product or packaging initiatives/ proposals based on the Company’s quality assurance to the Consumer Marketing Function.
    • Participate in NPD launch plan development in terms of volume, cost, quality, and deliver NPD launch on time and on budget.
    • Provide consultation on product development in the areas of design, technology, or new partnership where appropriate to all African markets proactively.
    • Build network of International Ovo NPD and QA/QC and monitor competitive NPD activities/best practice in the FMCG industry.
    • Monitor ongoing legal/compliance issues including certifications e.g ISO and HACCP, audit management, and FDA/NAFDAC guidelines to ensure food safety according to the market law where we commercialize our products. 
    • Coordinate with R&D in the Ovo network to attain knowledge or know how transfer and share learning within the Africa markets

    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    • Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science or related fields
    • At least 15 years experience in QA/QC and NPD with proven records as a leader
    • Excellent team leader, collaboration, and dynamic
    • Good analytical, project  management, and innovative skills

    Head of Supply Chain

    • The Head of Supply Chain will directs all the activities of demand & production planning and control.
    • They will also be responsible for material/logistics flow management including material procurement orders; warehousing and distributing of raw materials, goods-in-process, and finished goods. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the supply/demand to align with company’s objectives. 
    • Develops and monitors the implementation of all policies and practices with regard to demand & production planning and control.
    • Reviews material controlling reports, communicates with production and Sales and Procurement , and makes recommendations to Site General Management on the improvement of material stocking. 
    • Responsible for overall aspects of import/export activities including customer service, billing, cargo tracking, customs clearance, inland transportation, and overseas communication.
    • Develops and maintains both domestic and overseas customer relationship;  
    • Maintains relationship with the customs officials.
    • Responsible for warehousing and distributing of raw materials, goods-in-process and finished goods while controlling and scheduling the material flow.
    • Manages and controls logistics/distribution budget.
    • Eliminates the inefficiencies and integrates the activities in the logistics and distribution systems.
    • Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
    • Design or implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials and finished products.
    • Analyse inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste.
    • Review performance of contractual agreements if necessary with respective function staff like NPD, QA, LOG, Procurement and Finance

    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    • Minimum of 10 years experience in Supply Chain, and at least 3 years managerial experience
    • A recognized College or Bachelor degree in Business Administration, International trade, or equivalent combination education. 
    • Familiar with Food Manufacturing, Production & Material Planning, Import & Export, Warehouse management and Sales Distribution process. 
    • Be able to establish clear forward – looking directions and priorities and delivers.
    • As a team player, communicate in open, complete, timely and consistent manner.
    • Demonstrate capability of working cross-functionally and cross-nationality.
    • Controls implementation of agreed-upon actions
    • Proficient in speaking, writing English and ability to communicate with people at all levels. 
    • Strong communication & interpersonal skilling to work with Ovo Africa Supply department heads & associates, as well as related government officials 
    • Strong business acumen

    Africa HR Manager

    • The role holder is responsible for the local implementation of the Africa Organisation Performance strategy.
    • Accountable to implement all HR policies and procedures which complied with national legal and labour regulations for TwO employee populations.
    • Creates high-performing and engaged teams (factory & commercial), in collaboration with local Elixir HR function. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead employee communication channels  (e.g. Monthly briefing)
    • Build and maintain Elixir/labour relations as needed
    • Accountable for all local ER (including discipline or attendance cases) 
    • Lead people & culture activities (e.g. family day, site celebrations & recognition, team newsletter)

    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    • A minimum of 10 years’ HR experience, with a minimum of 3 years experience in management 
    • Supply Chain/Manufacturing HR expert, also with ability to support commercial teams
    • Experience in recruiting and onboarding employees in a factory environment 
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Experience of creating or implementing skills matrix & proven development of factory teams 
    • Experience of creating factory culture and a great place to work 
    • Experienced with Nigerian labour law and related regulations
    • Role models great leadership
    • Experienced in delivering organisational change
