    Team Lead, PC & M Engineer

    Job Description

    The Team Lead Protection, Control & Metering will be responsible for ensuring the high availability of all electrical equipment at the plant and guarantee that all protection relays and associated accessories perform as expected.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure all plant patrols of all Electrical equipment (especially the Electrical Protection System) are executed as assigned daily.
    • Execute breakdown/corrective maintenance as assigned daily.
    • Ensure the summary of breakdown/corrective maintenance activities is reported on IBM Maximo daily as assigned.
    • Ensure that all protective circuits function as required, responsible for the calibration, testing and installation.
    • Ensure that all services rendered and equipment supplied meet company specifications by carrying out Technical Evaluations.
    • Prepare adequate justification for all services and equipment requested.
    • Compilation of breakdown and corrective maintenance reports and ensure they are submitted at the stipulated time.
    • Compilation of monthly sectional reports and ensure they are submitted at the stipulated time.
    • Monitor and oversee all jobs executed by third parties to the company to ensure timely close out, quality and within the scope of work.
    • Awareness, understanding and application of Quality & HSE policies on assigned jobs
    • Awareness, understanding and application of departmental /process objectives;
    • Awareness of your contribution to the effectiveness of the IMS, including the benefits of improved performance;
    • Awareness of the risks of not conforming with the EGBIN IMS requirements.
    • Ensure safety guidelines and safe work procedures are strictly followed on and off maintenance activities.
    • Understand and ensure compliance with all company codes of conduct.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Unit Head, Section Head and HOD.

    Key Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
    • A post-graduate degree or relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of Seven (7) years of relevant work experience.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Technical knowledge of electrical systems
    • Understanding of working of equipment and history of equipment
    • Knowledge of standard operating procedures for maintenance of the main plant, transformers etc.
    • Technical troubleshooting and ability to identify the root cause of problems to avoid recurrence
    • Knowledge of safety requirements and environmental aspects of power generation
    • Knowledge of the power generation process and commercial and tariff aspects
    • Knowledge of modern maintenance management practices and spare inventory management
    • Knowledge of statutory guidelines related to electrical equipment Knowledge of Engineering.
    • Knowledge of Technical report writing

    Electrical Engineer

    Job Description

    The electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems, performing routine inspections, and ensuring all protection relays and associated accessories function correctly.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for executing and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure the availability, reliability, and safe operation of assets across the electrical asset groups. 
    • Ensure all plant patrols are executed as assigned daily. 
    • Execute breakdown/corrective maintenance as assigned daily.
    • Ensure the summary of breakdown/corrective maintenance activities is reported on IBM Maximo daily as assigned. 
    • Compile maintenance reports and ensure prompt submission of the reports. 
    • Monitor and oversee all jobs executed by third parties to ensure timely close out, quality, and within the scope of work. • Awareness, understanding and application of Quality & HSE policies on assigned jobs.

    Senior Engineer, Balance of Plant

    Job Description

    The Senior Engineer (Balance of Plant) will be responsible for monitoring system performance, conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to ensure reliability and efficiency. 

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Carry out plant checks regularly to identify defects and carry out necessary repairs as applicable.
    • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
    • Coordinate daily maintenance activities.
    • Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
    • Maintain all inventory and equipment, and ensure proper storage and availability.
    • Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices in the work environment.
    • Conduct follow-ups on all repair work.
    • Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
    • Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
    • Supervise, mentor and train team members.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications and providing technical expertise to the team.
    • Delegate any maintenance issues to the right skills in the team as the need arises.
    • Develop and actualise planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and shutdown repairs as the need arises.
    • Schedule both internal and external work(s), maximising planned downtime and reducing unplanned downtime.
    • Perform Root cause analysis and resolve problems.
    • Carry out any other job that may be assigned to you.

    Education and Work Experience

    Requirement

    • Minimum of a First Degree (HND/BSc) in Mechanical/Production Engineering 
    • Minimum of 7 Years of Work Experience with a Minimum of Three (3) Years on Industrial Size /Steam Turbine Power Generation Pumps, Fans, and Compressors.
    • Membership in NATE, NSE, and COREN will be an Added Advantage.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Experience and working exposure to maintenance of BOP and axillaries
    • In-depth understanding of BOP Operations 
    • Sound technical troubleshooting skills
    • Appreciable knowledge of safety requirements 
    • Knowledge of standard operating procedures for maintenance of turbine generators and auxiliaries
    • Sound knowledge of power generation processes
    • Knowledge of modern maintenance management practices and spare inventory management
    • Effective communication and Reporting Skills.

    Category Lead

    Job Description

    The Category Lead would be responsible for handling the company’s end-to-end sourcing of products and services essential for our operations.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform category management including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract, performance and risk management.
    • Take overall responsibility for the strategic sourcing management goals of the category and implement action items to ensure the goals are achieved.
    • Responsible for the procurement of contracts including management of cost, schedule, and performance parameters. Developing contract specifications, work statements and terms and conditions
