    Supervisor – Civil / Earthworks

    Role Summary

    • The Supervisor – Civil/Earthworks is responsible for overseeing all on-site civil and earthwork activities to ensure timely, safe, and quality execution of construction works.
    • This role involves coordinating manpower, equipment, and materials; maintaining progress in line with schedulesand ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety, and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, organize, and supervise day-to-day earthworks and civil construction activities including excavation, grading, backfilling, compaction, and embankment formation.
    • Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
    • Coordinate with survey teams to maintain correct levels, alignments, and tolerances.
    • Monitor labor, plant, and material utilization to achieve daily and weekly targets.
    • Liaise with subcontractors, material suppliers, and the QA/QC team to ensure smooth workflow.
    • Prepare daily progress, manpower, and equipment utilization reports.
    • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Identify potential delays or issues and take corrective measures proactively.
    • Support site engineers in implementing inspection and testing plans.
    • Participate in toolbox meetings and safety briefings to ensure worker awareness.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Candidates should possess a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
    • 10+ years of experience in civil or infrastructure projects, preferably in large-scale earthworks, roads, or industrial sites.
    • Strong understanding of site management, equipment operations, and geotechnical work.
    • Proficient in reading construction drawings and coordinating multiple work fronts.
    • Familiar with basic project documentation and MS Office tools.

    Operator – Batching Plant

    Role Summary

    • The Batching Plant Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the concrete batching plant to ensure continuous, efficient, and high-quality concrete production.
    • The role requires strict adherence to mix design specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate the batching plant to produce concrete in accordance with approved mix designs and production schedules.
    • Verify raw material quality, quantities, and moisture content before batching.
    • Ensure proper calibration and functioning of plant equipment and weigh scales.
    • Maintain accurate production logs, batching reports, and delivery records.
    • Coordinate with QA/QC and site teams to ensure concrete quality and timely delivery.
    • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the plant and related equipment.
    • Troubleshoot minor operational issues and escalate major faults to the maintenance team.
    • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, housekeeping, and environmental standards.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Vocational Certification as a batching plant operator is strongly preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience as a batching plant operator.
    • Hands-on knowledge of computerized batching systems (SIMEM, Schwing Stetter, ELKON, etc.) is an added advantage.
    • Familiarity with mix proportioning, material moisture adjustments, and plant calibration.

    Procurement & Logistics Officer

    Role Summary

    • The Procurement and Logistics Officer will support the end-to-end procurement, transportation, and distribution of project materials and equipment for the project.
    • The role will ensure that goods are sourced cost-effectively, and transported efficiently, and distributed promptly to the project site, maintaining 100% compliance with company standards, regulations, and project timelines.

    Key  Responsibilities 
    Procurement Support and Sourcing:

    • Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for construction materials, medical equipment, and consumables.
    • Obtain and compare quotations to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
    • Liaise with the head of procurement to prepare purchase orders (POs) and ensure adherence to company procurement policies and approval limits.
    • Maintain up-to-date vendor and price lists for frequently purchased items.
    • Liaise with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any supply delays or quality issues.

    Logistics and Transportation Management:

    • Coordinate the transportation and movements of materials and equipment.
    • Support freight and forwarding processes, ensuring compliance with Nigerian Customs and other relevant authorities.
    • Plan and coordinate local deliveries to the project site.

    Warehouse and Distribution Alignment:

    • Work closely with the Inventory Supervisor to synchronize inbound and outbound material movements.
    • Ensure all deliveries are accurately received, recorded, and transferred to the site warehouse.
    • Monitor distribution schedules to ensure materials reach work fronts on time.
    • Support proper documentation of materials received and issued for transparency and audit readiness.

    Documentation and Compliance:

    • Maintain comprehensive records of purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and customs clearance documentation.
    • Ensure 100% compliance with company procurement procedures, ethical sourcing, and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare weekly procurement and logistics status reports for project management review.
    • Support audit processes and maintain complete traceability of all transactions.

    Coordination and Communication:

    • Collaborate with the procurement, finance, inventory, and construction teams to align purchasing with project priorities.
    • Provide regular logistics updates to the line manager and identify potential supply chain risks.
    • Support vendor and freight partner relationship management to ensure dependable service delivery.

    Requirements / Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Candidates without a related degree must have proven, relevant experience (7 years) in procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations for major construction or industrial projects.
    • Experience: 7 years of procurement and logistics experience, preferably in construction, healthcare, or infrastructure projects.
    • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration skills.
    • Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems and logistics tracking tools.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
    • High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain (procurement, logistics, warehousing, distribution).
    • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders (suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouse, site teams).
    • High data accuracy and documentation discipline.
    • Effective problem-solving and risk mitigation skills.
    • Team-oriented and proactive mindset, working collaboratively under supervision and tight deadlines.
