    Social Safeguards & Stakeholder Engagement Specialist

    Role Summary

    • The Social Safeguards Specialist will lead all social assessments, stakeholder consultations, community engagement, gender and inclusion analysis, livelihood assessments, and social safeguard documentation.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct socio-economic baseline studies.
    • Design and facilitate stakeholder consultations.
    • Lead community engagement activities.
    • Prepare Stakeholder Engagement Plans.
    • Develop Grievance Redress Mechanisms.
    • Conduct gender and vulnerable group analysis. prepare social impact assessments.

    Qualifications

    Environmental & Biodiversity Specialist

    Role Summary

    • The Environmental & Biodiversity Specialist will lead environmental baseline studies and impact assessments relating to terrestrial ecosystems, biodiversity, water resources, soil, air quality, waste management, and climate considerations.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct environmental baseline surveys.
    • Lead biodiversity and ecological assessments.
    • Assess impacts on flora, fauna, wetlands, and ecosystems.
    • Prepare mitigation measures.
    • Develop Environmental Management Plans.
    • Coordinate sampling and environmental monitoring.
    • Support regulatory compliance documentation.
    • contribute to ESIA and ESDD reports.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Forestry, Wildlife, Geography, Natural Resources, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years ESIA experience.
    • Knowledge of Nigerian environmental regulations.
    • Experience with donor-funded projects is an advantage.

    Role Summary

    • Minimum 5 years experience.
    • Knowledge of IFC EHS Guidelines.
