    Social Media Manager

    About the Role

    • We are seeking a highly creative, organised, and results-driven Social Media Manager for one of our clients in the event management and production sector to lead their social media strategy and execution for their growing event management and production brand.
    • This role requires a content-savvy individual who understands how to create buzz, build community, and drive engagement across multiple social platforms.
    • You will play a key role in shaping the brand’s digital voice, promoting high-profile events, and enhancing visibility in Nigeria’s vibrant event and experiential marketing industry.

    Key Responsibilities
    Content Strategy & Execution:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with marketing goals, event calendars, and brand messaging.
    • Plan, create, and publish engaging content (images, videos, reels, behind-the-scenes, stories, captions, etc.) across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
    • Ensure consistent brand tone, aesthetics, and messaging across platforms.

    Campaign Management:

    • Conceptualize and execute promotional campaigns for upcoming events, partnerships, and special projects.
    • Collaborate with the Creative, Events, and PR teams to amplify key initiatives and sponsorship campaigns.

    Audience Engagement & Growth:

    • Grow online community and engagement rates through organic and paid tactics.
    • Monitor comments, DMs, mentions, and conversations to respond promptly and build strong relationships with followers and fans.
    • Use social listening tools to understand audience preferences and sentiment.

    Analytics & Reporting:

    • Track performance metrics, analyze trends, and generate weekly/monthly reports with actionable insights to optimize content and strategy.
    • Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes and emerging trends to maintain and grow visibility.

    Collaboration & Content Coordination:

    • Work closely with photographers, videographers, editors, and graphic designers to ensure high-quality, timely content production.
    • Coordinate real-time event coverage including live tweets, stories, and post-event highlights.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Media Studies, or related discipline.
    • 4 - 5 years of proven experience managing social media for a lifestyle, events, production, or entertainment-related brand.
    • Proficiency in social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later).
    • Strong visual aesthetic and working knowledge of design/editing tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite).
    • Excellent copywriting skills with a creative, engaging voice.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or late evenings during event coverage.
    • Good understanding of Lagos’ social and cultural scene is a strong plus.

    Event Business Strategy & Development Manager

    About the Role

    • We are recruiting for a strategic and commercially astute Event Business Strategy & Development Manager on behalf of our client in the event management and production sector.
    • This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's growth agenda by identifying new market opportunities, refining internal strategy, cultivating key partnerships, and driving revenue through high-impact business initiatives.
    • This role demands a balance of analytical rigour, relationship management, and industry foresight, especially within the creative, experiential marketing, and events landscape.

    Key Responsibilities
    Business Strategy & Growth Planning:

    • Design and execute short-, medium-, and long-term strategic plans aligned with the company's vision and market opportunities.
    • Analyse market trends, competitive positioning, and customer data to identify growth levers and business risks.
    • Lead internal strategic reviews and recommend actions that improve performance and operational efficiency.
    • Develop and monitor KPIs for strategic initiatives, ensuring timely execution and measurable outcomes.

    New Business Development:

    • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business leads including corporate clients, government contracts, brand activations, and experiential marketing opportunities.
    • Design and pitch compelling proposals tailored to client needs, collaborating with creative and production teams to articulate clear value propositions.
    • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of revenue-generating partnerships and event contracts.

    Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Cultivate strong relationships with brands, agencies, sponsors, vendors, and ecosystem players across media, lifestyle, and events industries.
    • Represent the company in external meetings, industry conferences, and stakeholder forums to expand visibility and partnership potential.
    • Negotiate partnership terms, commercial agreements, and performance milestones.

    Revenue & Commercial Strategy:

    • Contribute to pricing strategy, contract structuring, and margin optimization across services and product offerings.
    • Explore and help operationalize new revenue streams including digital event extensions, merchandise, IP creation, and cross-industry collaborations.
    • Drive strategies to improve client retention, upselling, and brand loyalty.

    Team Collaboration & Internal Leadership:

    • Work closely with the Events, Creative, Finance, and Operations teams to align execution with commercial priorities.
    • Serve as a thought partner to the CEO or senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations based on internal and external business intelligence.
    • Support the professionalization of internal processes, reporting standards, and documentation that support growth.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline (MBA or relevant postgrad qualification is an advantage).
    • 5–7 years of experience in business strategy, development, or client-facing commercial roles, preferably within the creative, events, marketing, or media industries.
    • Strong commercial acumen and proven ability to drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and business development.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, including proposal and pitch development.
    • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to inform strategy.
    • Familiarity with Lagos’ creative, corporate, and cultural landscape is highly advantageous.
