    Senior Geo-Database & GIS Geologist

    Job Summary

    • We seek a Senior Geo-Database & GIS Geologist to lead the design, implementation and upkeep of our exploration and mineral resource data systems.
    • The role oversees all geo-data generated or acquired across exploration programmes. Data must be validated, accurate and available to end users at all times.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure safety practices across all exploration data activities.
    • Establish a central data management system for GIS, borehole and geochemical datasets using acQuire or similar platforms.
    • Develop and enforce data management protocols across all exploration projects.
    • Train users on standards and procedures, then monitor compliance.
    • Maintain and continuously improve all technical data management systems.
    • Manage and track technical software licenses.
    • Support mineral resource estimation and related modelling work.
    • Promote operational excellence through continuous improvement in mineral resource management.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Hold a Professional Geologist designation.
    • Possess a BSc (Hons) in Geology. An MSc, MEng or equivalent is preferred.
    • Bring at least 10 years of geology or mining experience, including 5 years in geo-database design, implementation and mineral resource estimation for commodities such as copper, base metals, gold, silver, platinum, rare earth elements and bulk minerals.
    • Show strong capability in geology and orebody modelling.
    • Demonstrate high proficiency in geo-data management tools such as DAP, Datashed and acQuire, and GIS platforms such as ArcGIS.
    • Understand ore-forming systems, exploration models, and mineral resource modelling software, such as Datamine Studio RM and Leapfrog.
    • Have international or Africa-based experience across diverse geological environments.
    • Communicate clearly in technical reporting, presentation and documentation.

    Senior Geological Assistant

    Job Summary

    • Join us and support the execution of exploration projects across diverse terrains. This role drives high-quality fieldwork, supports geological teams, and ensures that exploration operations run smoothly, safely and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support earthmoving programmes by coordinating contractors to deliver road access and drill pads that meet HSEC and project standards.
    • Carry out sampling, sample collection and dispatch in line with project objectives.
    • Manage field-level logistics, including driving duties, movement of personnel and equipment, and basic vehicle maintenance.
    • Lead and supervise labourers and samplers in the field to ensure compliance with HSEC and operational requirements.
    • Maintain geological tools, equipment and field gear to ensure they remain serviceable, safe, and ready for deployment.
    • Assist exploration teams in executing geological, geochemical and geophysical surveys, mapping and sampling, and support community liaison as required.
    • Handle purchasing and receipt of project materials to meet operational needs.
    • Collect and record exploration data diligently following established protocols and data management standards.
    • Promote operational excellence by supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a quality-driven work culture.

    Requirements

    • BSc, Technical Diploma, Trade Certificate, or related qualification.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in remote, field-based exploration environments.
    • Valid driver’s licence with at least 5 years of driving experience.
    • Strong command of English.
    • Basic computer literacy.
    • Training in 4WD operation, remote First Aid, and GPS use is an added advantage.
