Senior Caregiver (Crèche) at Home Also Creche & Preschool

Job Summary 

• We are seeking a warm, experienced, and dedicated Senior Caregiver to join our crèche team.
• The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for caring for infants and young children, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children's growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and supervision for infants and toddlers.
• Support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities.
• Assist with feeding, sleeping, toileting, and hygiene routines.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of children at all times.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised childcare environment.
• Supervise and support junior caregivers and childcare assistants.
• Keep accurate records of attendance, feeding, sleeping, medication, and incidents.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.
• Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND, NCE, or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Nursing, or a related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in a crèche, nursery, daycare, or childcare setting.
• Previous supervisory experience will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of child development and childcare best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification will be an added advantage.
• Must be patient, compassionate, reliable, and passionate about working with children.
