    Scrum Master

    Job Summary

    • As a Scrum Master, you will be a facilitator and coach for the development team, guiding them in adhering to Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
    • Your mission is to create a productive environment where the team can deliver high-quality software products by removing impediments, fostering collaboration, and ensuring continuous improvement.

    Responsibilities

    • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Coach and guide the Scrum team on adhering to Agile principles and practices, and ensure they understand and follow Scrum theory, guidelines, and practices.
    • Help the Product Owner manage the product backlog effectively.
    • Remove any impediments or blockers that are hindering the team's progress.
    • Shield the team from external distractions and interruptions.
    • Promote a collaborative and transparent team environment.
    • Liaise with stakeholders to improve visibility and clarity about the teams work.
    • Encourage continuous learning and improvement within the team.
    • Resolve conflicts within the team and promote constructive disagreement.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management with minimum of 3 years of experience in managing software development teams using Agile Methodology.
    • Solid knowledge of Agile frameworks and methodology, such as Scrum or Kanban.
    • Agile Scrum Master Certification (e.g., CSM, PSM II) is a plus.
    • Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
    • Proficiency in servant-leadership, conflict resolution, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
    • Status: Local contract with Baobab Microfinance Bank, Nigeria.

    Product Marketing Manager

    Role Overview

    • The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies for Baobab Nigeria’s suite of financial products, including Instant Card, USSD, Merchant Acquiring, Agency Banking, digital savings, digital lending, and any new products the company may launch.
    • You will bridge the gap between product, marketing, and commercial teams ensuring every product is well-positioned, understood, and adopted by the right audience.

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategy & Positioning:

    • Develop and refine product positioning, value propositions, and messaging thatresonate with target audiences.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to guide product differentiationand market entry strategies.
    • Define customer segments and key use cases for each product line.

    Go-to-Market (GTM) Planning:

    • Lead cross-functional GTM launches for new products and features, ensuringalignment across product, marketing, and sales teams.
    • Develop and manage integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness,activation, and adoption.
    • Support the development of marketing assets (videos, landing pages, productsheets, social ads, etc.) in collaboration with the creative and growth teams.

    Product Growth & Optimization:

    • Collaborate with the Growth and Product teams to track adoption metrics, userbehaviour, and retention performance.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance product experience through feedback, insights,and user data.
    • Develop lifecycle communication strategies to increase engagement and reducechurn.

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Partner with internal teams (Growth, Tech, Risk, Sales, and Customer Experience) to ensure consistent product communication and alignment.
    • Support field and agency banking teams with product training, marketing materials,and merchant engagement tools.
    • Collaborate with Baobab Group’s regional marketing and innovation teams toensure alignment with group strategy.

    Insights & Reporting:

    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across awareness, activation, andretention funnels.
    • Produce regular product marketing reports with actionable insights andrecommendations.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field (MBAor equivalent is a plus).
    • 3–6 years of experience in product marketing, growth marketing, or digital financial services.
    • Proven experience launching or managing fintech or banking products.
    • Strong understanding of the Nigerian financial ecosystem, customer behavior, anddigital channels.
    • Excellent communication, storytelling, and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in data analytics, campaign performance tools, and CRM systems.

    Experienced Loan Officer

    Main Responsibilities

    • Promote/Market Baobab’s products to prospective clients
    • Visit and evaluate potential client businesses
    • Visit client’s personal house
    • Visit co-debtor, guarantor’s house and businesses
    • Analyze financial data of client’s businesses
    • Analysis of quantitative and qualitative data of client businesses and households
    • Prepare loan documents for credit committee
    • Present loan files to credit committee
    • Enter Loan files in the MIS.
    • Conduct monitoring visits to business and households
    • Follow- up on loan repayment
    • Manage loan recovery from active and write-off client until the last kobo
    • Assess the impact of loan before renewal
    • Deposit Mobilization
    • Any other task as directed by your line supervisor.

    Education

    • B.Sc, HND Minimum
    • Fluent in English (Written/spoken)
    • Detail oriented
    • Target oriented
    • Articulate and well spoken
    • High level of integrity
    • Dynamic and motivated and individuals who like to work outdoors
    • Must have completed NYSC
    • Basic Knowledge in accounting, finance and mathematics
    • Previous work Experience or training In sales (Preferably in an MfB or a commercial Bank).
